Blue Ray WLAN Streaming mit dem Dune HD Base 3

Streaming über WLAN. Ein Problem? Fast. Es gibt zurzeit nur einen, nicht mehr neu zu erwerbenden USB-Stick der unterstütz wird. D-Link DWA-140, theoretische Datenübertragungsraten von bis zu 300 Mbit/s, Kompatibel zu 802.11b/g/n (draft) Standards. Und zwar nur in der Version 1!! Erhältlich ist aber nur noch die Version 2.

Besserung wird vom Hersteller mit dem nächsten Firmware-Update gelobt. Dann sollen sogar mehrere USB-Sticks unterstütz werden. So lange wollte ich nicht warten. Also habe ich auf einen vorhandenen Router (NetGear WNDR 3300) die alterative Firmware dd-wrt aufgespielt. (Wen es interessiert: erst dd-wrt.v24_std-wndr3300.chk und dann dd-wrt.v24-13577_NEWD_std-nokaid_nohotspot_nostor.bin). Eigentlich keine große Sache. Anzumerken ist hier aber das man die Garantie verliert und sich vorher unbedingt ein bisschen einlesen sollte.

Hier gibt es ein Wiki, ein Forum und eigentlich alle Informationen die notwendig sind. Der NetGear Router WNDR 3300 wurde dann als WLAN Bridge eingerichtet. Genutzt wird nur das 5 GHZ Frequenzband. Als eigentlicher Router dient der neue NetGear WNDR 3700. Als NAS ein QNAP TS-119 Turbo-NAS. Mit dieser Kombination ist ein stabiles Streaming von Musik, Film-Dateien. AVI, MKV bis 1080p und Blue Ray ISO ohne Ruckeln oder Ton-Aussetzer möglich. Auch die Blue Ray Menüs sind voll funktionsfähig. Ebenso vorspulen und Kapitel-Sprung. Die Entfernung bei mir beträgt 11 Meter durch eine dicke Wand. Getestet mit BD-ISO mit Bitraten > 50Mbit und DTS HD Master und Dolby True HD. Und die Regierung kann über kein Kabel schimpfen. Die Performance muss jeder für sich selbst testen. Berichte das dies funktioniert gibt es auch im MPC Club Forum vom User: Likvid.

eigentlich den kompletten Template Ordner den du donloadest in den Template Ordner von Tvix kopieren Tvixie/Template/Movie

Aber irgendwie zewigt er mir nur den 1080p standard an der schon standardmässig dabei ist

Und mehr WLAN Sticks die unterstüzt werden. Dann muss ich ihn nicht immer an die WLAN Bridge hängen um mal ne AVI zu streamen...

Nach Rücksprache mit dem Ersteller des Yadis Like Template, hat der mir geantwortet, das diese Template nicht für den Dune sei sondern für den Tvix 6600

bleibt trotzdem die Frage, warum man bei dem Programm, bei Einstellung auf den Dune, nur ein Template auswählen kann bzw. gibt es wirklich kein Alternativtemplate für den Dune? Weißt du darauf zufällig eine Antwort?

Ist klar danke, aber offensichlich funkioniert hier irgendwas dann nicht so wie es soll, da das Template bei meinem HD-Ready-TV über den Bildschirmrand hinausgeht. D.H: Ich seh nicht Alles. Ich hab davon zwar auch schon irgendwo gelesen, aber da hat der Betroffen geschriebn, dass sein TV nicht richtig eingestellt war, kann bei mir aber bestimmt nicht sein, da sonst alles korrekt dargestellt wird.

nein, so eine Testdatei hab ich mir noch nicht angeschaut, werds probieren. Ich versteh das aber trotzdem nicht, dann müßte ja alles andere - BluRay, Fotos, Full-HD-Files etc. auch "zu groß" dargestellt werden. Das scaliert doch der TV auf die richtige Größe.

Edit:
War mir offenbar bisher entgangen, dass "überall" etwas fehlt.
Mein Toshi LCD bietet da nicht viel Einstellmöglichkeiten, aber die Änderung der Einstellung beim Bildformat von "16x19" auf "PC" bringt jetzt Vollbild ohne Overscan.

Diese Features sollen in der nächsten Firm, die diese/nächste Woche " online " geht enthalten sein ( liest sich ganz nett )

New features to be available on a new f/w till the end of this week:
1. Autoframerate improvements:
- Autoframerate is now supported not only for files, but also for DVD
and BD: DVD-discs, DVD-images (VIDEO_TS, ISO), BD-discs, BD-images
(BDMV, ISO).
- If a DVD/BD consists of several parts having different framerate,
the player switches framerate automatically when going from one part
to another.
- Also autoframerate support for files improves (problems with
incorrect working of autoframerate on specific TS files fixed).
2. Support for PGS (Blu-ray) subtitles in TS/M2TS files:
- It is now possible to use Blu-ray subtitles not only playing full
BD-images, but also when playing individual M2TS files.
- This is important for many users who do not have the entire
BD-image, or who do not want to play full BD-image for some reason.
- This is also useful for owners of very old, discontinued Dune models
having no full Blu-ray support (Dune HD Ultra and Dune HD Mini) -
owners of these models now can play BD-images with subtitles.
3. Other improvements related to subtitles support:
- Added support for SUB/IDX format of external subtitles (aka VobSub)
(graphical subtitles similar to those used in DVD).
- Added support for UTF-16 encoding in external subtitles in SRT and
SUB (MicroDVD) formats (text-based subtitle formats).
4. More conveniencies for working with network resources:
- The built-in SMB browser improved to better scan the network; more
chances that all SMB network resources are found w/o delays now.
- Added a very easy and convenient way to create a fixed shortcut to a
network share on the main screen: just select the share in
SMB-browser, and choose "Add to Main Screen" command in the popup
menu.
5. Support for more USB WiFi dongle models:
- Finally fixed support for D-Link DWA-140 rev.B2, demanded by many
users (in addition to originally supported rev.B1).
- Updated the WiFi drivers to the most recent versions, included an
additional WiFi driver.
- Allows to use any USB WiFI dongle supported by WiFi drivers (97
different USB devices in total), not just specific tested models, - so
the users get more freedom to try to use existing WiFi dongles with
Dune and checking which ones work good.
6. HDMI-related improvements:
- Fixed problem that "HDMI Audio = Disabled" did not work properly
with certain HDMI equipment (no picture during playback, wrong
picture/colors during playback).
- Added a new setting "HDMI Color Depth" allowing to set color depth
for HDMI output: 8-bit (most compatible, is default now), 10-bit,
12-bit (DeepColor); this allows to solve the problems with noise on
HDMI output when using certain HDMI equipment and certain HDMI cables.
Also, the effecitve HDMI color depth is now reported in Video Setup.
- Added a new setting "HDMI CEC", allowing to enable/disable CEC
handling by Dune (disabled by default); this solves various problems
with certain TV models having CEC support.
- Fixed problem with hangup of Blu-ray playback when
disconnecting/reconnecting HDMI cable, switchinf off/on the TV, or
switching the input on the TV during playback.
7. Online firmware upgrade:
- A new Setup section "Firmware Upgrade" allows to conveniently check
for the presence of new firmware version directly from the player,
and, if a new version is available, automatically download and install
it (w/o the need to use a PC to download the firmware upgrade file).
- Also, if the player is connected to Internet, the player
periodically automatically checks for the new firmware updates, and
when one becomes available, informs the user about it and proposes to
download/install it.
- System Storage or any other attached storage can be used as a
temporary location for the downloaded firmware file; if no writable
storage with enough free space is found, the user is prompted to
attach one.
- When downloading the firmware, a progress is indicated, and a
possibility to stop/cancel the download is provided.
- Advanced users can fine-tune various settings via Setup menu: enable
checking for non-stable (beta) versions, disable automatic checking.
8. Bookmarks improvements:
- Enabled a simple support for bookmarks when working with playlists
(check/use previously saved bookmark for the initial file of the
playlist, save bookmark for the current file when stopping the
playback of the playlist). No advanced support for playlist bookmarks
(one bookmark for the entire playlist) yet.
9. Added support for network media URLs (nfs://..., smb://...) in
dune_folder.txt/media_url and M3U/PLS playlist files:
- Now, the users of various Media Collection solutions can use Media
Indexes pointing to network resources (on NAS'es etc).
- Network shares are mounted by the player automatically as needed, no
need to manually configure corresponding network folders in the
player.
- Network media URLs are supported for all kinds of content - regular
media files (video, audio, photo), DVD-images (VIDEO_TS, ISO),
BD-Images (BDMV, ISO).
10. IPTV (multicast UDP streams) playback improvement: added support
for detecting and switching between multiple audio tracks.
11. Further dune_folder.txt extensions/improvements, to allow users to
more easily extend Dune user interface with custom look and behavior,
and to further support various solutions for organizing media
collections.
12. A LOT of other bugfixes and improvements (in particular, various
media format compatibility improvements).

Und diese Features in einer der nächsten Firms :

1. DVB-T support via USB DVB-T dongle.
- Support for SD and HD (up to FulleHD) media content, including H.264
video codec.
- Autoscan for available frequences / channels.
- Provide the list of channels to the user, allow to start playback of
any channel.
- Allow to switch between channels during playback (as for IPTV /
multicast UDP streams).
- Recording: record the media stream during playback (as for for IPTV
/ multicast UDP streams).
- Potential future extensions: EPG browsing, EPG+DVR, time-shifting, etc.
2. Own solution for working with user's media collections: Dune Media Library.
- The key thing is that each movie is accompanied with not just
pregenerated pictures, but also with well-structured formal
description, which is automatically indexed and used by the player.
- Based on the database of such descriptions, the player automatically
provides user interface for browsing the Media Library, including
flexible navigation/filtering/search options.
- Advantages of this approach in comparison with other currently used
approaches (based on pregeneration of static pictures/pages with movie
descriptions and static indexes for navigation): the provided
navigation/filtering/search options can be much more powerful and
convenient than those based on static pregenerated indexes (e.g. more
flexible search conditions, the use of current context, etc); the user
interface can be much more flexible/powerful (as it does not depend on
static pregenerated content, and can include dynamic behavior), and
also can be much faster.
- The movie descriptions can be generated by a special PC application,
which looks up movies and fetch data automatically from Internet,
making as much job automatically as possible; it requires user
interaction only when automatic lookup does not give proper results,
and/or when the user wants to customize/override something.
- In future, also the following could be possible: movie descriptions
could be fetched from Internet by the player itself (e.g. from a
special Internet service), so the need to use PC application could be
completely eliminated of significantly reduced.
- Some parts of this approach could be used also for working with
Music and Photos, giving a consistent interface for working with the
entire Media Library.
3. Web Browser based on WebKit engine.
- Much more faster than Web Browser which took place on Sigma 863x units.
- Can render existing standard web sites, including very complex ones
via a lot of JavaScript (e.g. maps.google.com), not just simple pages
specially developed for the player.
- Also, can provide a way implement HTML+JavaScript based plugins for
Dune, providing various Internet services and other additional
features.
4. Flash Lite integration.
- Will provide a way to develop Flash-based based plugins for Dune,
providing various Internet services and other addititional features.
- Also, potentially could be used in some parts of Dune's user interface.
5. User Interface with a nice 3D graphics and animation effects.
- Will be based on Flash Lite and/or natively implemented code
(whatever provides the best speed/performance and the best overall
results).
6. Possibility to control the player from network via Ethernet/HTTP,
and via RS232 (in future models).
- Will include possibilities such as: start/stop/control playback,
add/control torrents, emulate RC button presses, etc.
- Usages: integration into complex home theater setups and
home-automation systems, convenient client applications for various
platforms (HTML-based applications for standard web browsers, PC
applications, iPhone applications, etc), other usages by advanced
users.
7. Advanced bookmarks support.
- Bookmarks for playlists: one bookmark for the entire playlist (e.g. series).
- Browser of all saved bookmarks (aka "Recent Files" menu): easily
view what was played most recently, and resume it. Including proper
support for playlists / series.
8. Better music section.
- Music start/stop w/o video output reinitialization.
- Background music playback (together with photos, together with file browsing).
- Music control center with nice GUI.
- CUE support.
- APE and other formats support.
- Other music-related features.
9. System / general.
- Avoid video output reinitialization whenever possible.
- More options for video output configuration (colorspace settings,
native resolution support, advanced auto framerate settings, etc).
- A lot of other misc fixes/improvements.

Das ist die Idee...

Ob es funktioniert und wenn ja über welche Strecke wird man sehen wenn es da ist.

leute jetzt brauch ich mal eure hilfe!!!

hab mir jetzt den base 3.0 geholt und ein problem!
eine meiner festplatten mag er anscheinend nicht!
3 laufen einwandfrei...bei der 4. kommt immer die meldung "zugriff nicht möglich"! alle festplatten sind gleich mit ntfs formatiert! die neuste firmware habe ich auch schon draufgespielt! kennt jemand dieses problem?!

Nö, der Base hat immer einen Lüfter, die HD kann man ja auch erst nachträglich einfach in den vorhandenen Wechselrahmen schieben.

Klappe auf, Platte rein, Klappe zu und das wars!

muss die Kiste also nicht öffnen und die Garantie verlieren? Also der Aufpreis von 150 Euro ist aber sowieso der Preis einer 2TB Festplatte...
Wie laut ist der Lüfter, der BD1 hat zB keinen...

P.s. kann man den Lüfter in den Einstellungen ausschalten oder kommt das noch?

Wie schon gesagt, gegen die Frontmitte drücken, Klappe geht auf, Hebel ziehen und der HD Schacht liegt frei.

Also nichts mit Gehäuse öffnen und Garantieverlust. Ich nehme meine Platte zum befüllen mit neuem Futter aus dem Dune und stecke sie in meinen PC mit Wechselrahmen.
Ist eine feine Sache.

Lüfter höre ich nur wenn ich das Ohr ganz dicht ran halte, es gibt hier aber auch gegenteilige Äusseruungen was auf eine Serienstreuung in der Produktion hinweist!

Hier gab es aber auch schon andere Meinungen zu dem Lüfter. Hat nicht jemand hier im Forum diesen Lüfter schon abgeklemmt weil das Ding so laut war

Ich habe bei meinem Base den Lüfter abgeklemmt da dieser ein wenig nervte. Bei mir kann eigentlich nichts passieren da der Base nur streamt und keine interne Platte verbaut hat.

nö, kann man derzeit nicht und lt. der Liste, ein paar Postings vorher, wohl auch nicht mit der neuen. Irgenwo wurde mal geschrieben, dass das mittels Firmware irgendwann??? möglich sein soll.

Aaaalso...

...habe mir eigentlich einen HDX BD1 bestellt.

Allerdings habe ich gerade gesehen das der BD 1 keine BluRay/DVD Covers anzeigt.
Deshalb überlege ich mir gerade den BD1 zurückzuschiken und einen Dune HD Base 3.0 oder Popcornhour C200 zu kaufen.
Wobei ich eher zum Dune tendiere.

Also der Dune zeigt mir ja meine BD/DVD Covers an ?
So wie ich im Internet gesehen habe Unterscheidet der Dune sogar bei der Cover Darstellung zwischen DVD und BD ? (oder meine ich das nur? In einem Video auf YouTube haben die einen Filmcovers ein anderen "Hüllen-Rand" wie der rest)

Desweiteren spielt der Dune ja alles genauso ab wie der HDX BD1 oder?
Also Blu-Rays die als m2ts Dateien gerippt sind spielt er auch mit BluRay-Java Menüs und allen anderen extras ab?

Und die BluRays (als m2ts Struktur) werden ja genauso abgespielt wie wenn ich die Bluray in einen BluRay Player einlege?
Also die Tonspur die ich im Hauptmenü Einstelle wird dann beim Film anschauen auch Verwendet?

Nicht das ich da auch wie z.b. beim WD Live im Film mit dem Mediplayer erst die richtige Tonspur suchen muss...

Und der Unterschied zwischen dem Dune HD Base 3.0 und den Dune HD Prime 3.0 ist ja nur das beim Prime ein BluRay Laufwerk vorhanden ist?
Ansonsten ist Hardware und Softwaretechnisch ja alles gleich?
Das beim Prime Verbaute BluRay Laufwerk spielt ja auch DVDs ab? Und ist das beim Prime Verbaute Laufwerk zu gebrauchen?
Kostet ja nur 50€ aufpreis zum Base...da wäre es ja fast zu überlegen den Dune mit BluRay Laufwerk zu kaufen.

Changes since "091229_1411_beta:
NOTE: This firmware version includes quite a lot of internal code changes,
and, despite a lot of preliminary testing performed, there are good chances
that some functions may not function correctly under specific
circumstances. The most probable areas where things may be broken are:
- File browser (working with network shares, "dune_folder.txt"
mechanism, and any other file browser features).
- File playback.
- DVD and BD playback (especially when autoframerate is switched on).
- USB WiFi.

- Improvements for autoframerate:

- Implemented autoframerate also for DVD-Video and Blu-ray content (in
addition to autoframerate previously supported for files only).
- Supported for both optical discs and disc images.
- For DVD-Video, supports switching between 50 and 59.94 framerates
(no support for switching to 23.976 on NTSC pulldown content).
- For Blu-ray, supports all framerates (including 24p).
- If a disc constists of multiple fragments with different
framerates, framerate switching is automatically performed also
when switching between disc fragments.

- Bugfix: autoframerate did not work for specific TS files.

- Improvements for HDMI output:

- Added a new Setup option (Video / Advanced / HDMI color depth)
allowing to switch between 8-bit / 10-bit / 12-bit HDMI output signal.
8-bit is now used by default to ensure the best compatibility with
various HDMI equipment and cables (this solves the problems with noise
on HDMI output).

- Added a new Setup Option (Video / Advanced / HDMI CEC) allowing to
enable/disable HDMI CEC. HDMI CEC is now disabled by default to ensure
the best compatibility with various HDMI equipment (this solves the
problems such as unneeded messages shown by TV on HDMI
reinitialization, wrong switching of HDMI input, etc).

- Bugfix: The setting "HDMI audio = off" could cause severe problems with
HDMI output (such as wrong picture/colors, no picture at all). Now, these
problems are fixed. NOTE: For file and DVD playback, using this setting
still, as before, may enable DVI output mode for HDMI output (with RGB
colorspace) instead of HDMI-native output mode (with YUV colorspace),
that may have some effects on the picture, depending on a particular used
equipment; this issue will be addressed in future firmware versions.

- Bugfix: Blu-ray playback could hangup when disconnecting/reconnecting
HDMI cable, switching off/on the attached HDMI equipment, or switching
HDMI input on the attached HDMI equipment.

- Improvements for subtitles support:

- Added support for PGS (Blu-ray) subtitles in M2TS/TS files. It is now
possible to use Blu-ray subtitles not only playing full BD-images, but
also when playing individual M2TS files.

- Added support for external subtitles in SUB/IDX format.

- Added support for UTF-16 encoding in SRT and SUB (MicroDVD) external
subtitle files.

- Improvements for USB WiFi support:

- Finally fixed the support for USB WiFi adapter D-Link DWA-140 rev.B2
(in addition to the previously supported rev.B1).

- Included WiFi driver for RALink RT3070 chipset (the latest available
version 2.1.2.0), and allowed the use of all USB WiFI devices
supported by this driver (31 USB-IDs in total).

- Upgraded WiFi driver for RALink RT2870/RT2770 chipsets to the latest
available version 2.3.0.0, and allowed the use of all USB WiFi devices
supported by this driver (66 USB-IDs in total).

- See here for more details on the
supported USB hardware.

- Improvements for working with network shares:

- Added a new function "Add to Main Screen" for SMB shares in SMB
browser. Allows to easily add a new network folder corresponding to a
SMB share to the main screen. NOTE: Supported for the SMB shares only,
not supported for other items in SMB browser (SMB workgroups, SMB
servers, or folders inside SMB shares).

- Implemented a better scanning for available SMB workgroups and hosts
in SMB browser. Now, there are more chances that SMB resources are
found immediately, w/o the need to wait or restart network components.
(This should fix the problems such as certain SMB workgroups sometimes
visible, and sometimes not visible.)

- In SMB browser, all printer shares are now excluded from the list of
SMB shares (previously, some printer shares could be shown).

- Added showing drive information (total/used/available space) in the
"Information" dialog for network shares (the network share should be
in the "connected" state).

- Added a possibility to explicitly "disconnect" (i.e. unmount) a
mounted NFS or SMB share. Press INFO on a connected network folder, or
on a connected SMB share in SMB browser, and then choose "Disconnect".

- Bugfix: Iw was impossible to access SMB shares on a SMB server after
deleting some files from another SMB share on the same SMB server.

- The Setup option "Fast SMB Access" (introduced in the previous beta
firmware versions) is now disabled by default (since some users
reports problems when using this options with some SMB servers).
- NOTE: When upgrading to this firmware version from one of two
previous beta firmware versions, the value of this option is kept.
If you experience any problems with SMB access from the player,
please manually disable this option.
- NOTE: Even w/o this option, on Dune 3.0 models, playback of any
content via SMB should work w/o any problems under normal
circumstances, so it is safe to keep it disabled (unless you have a
specific setup/requirements.

- Improvements for bookmarks:

- Reenabled support for bookmarks when using playlists (the initial
version of such a support introduced in 091211_1311_beta was disabled
in 091229_1411_beta, and now a more reasonable implementation is
provided):
- When starting playing a playlist (e.g. by presssing PLAY button on a
file in a folder containing several files), the bookmark is
checked/used for the initial file in the playlist.
- When stopping playing a playlist, the bookmark is saved for the
current file in the playlist (so, by pressing PLAY on this file, the
playback can be later resumed from the saved bookmark).
- When switching between files in the playlist, bookmarks are neither
checked/used nor saved (as in the previous firmware version).
- The Setup options for disabling autoresume for video/audio files
influence both individual files and playlists.

- Improvements for IPTV support:

- Added support for viewing the list of audiotracks and switching
between them when watching IPTV (multicast UDP) channels.

- Added online firmware check/upgrade function:

- A new Setup section "Miscellaneous / Firmware Upgrade" allows to
conveniently check for the presence of new firmware version directly
from the player, and, if a new version is available, automatically
download and install it (w/o the need to use a PC to download the
firmware upgrade file).

- Also, if the player is connected to Internet, the player periodically
automatically checks for the new firmware updates, and when one
becomes available, informs the user about it and proposes to
download/install it.

- System Storage or any other attached storage can be used as a
temporary location to download a firmware from Internet; if no
writable storage with enough free space is found, the user is prompted
to attach one.

- When downloading a firmware from Internet, progress is indicated, and
a possibility to stop/cancel the download is provided.

- Advanced users can fine-tune various online upgrade settings via Setup
menu: enable/disable checking for non-stable (beta) versions,
enable/disable automatic checking.

- "dune_folder.txt" mechanism improvements:

- Added support for "smb://...", "nfs://...", and "network_folder://..."
media_url values, allowing to reference media content on SMB and NFS
network shares.
- Syntax:
- "smb://[user[:password]@]host/share/path"
- "user" and "password" are optional.
- "host" can be IP-address, DNS-name, or SMB-name of SMB server.
- "share" is SMB share name.
- Example: "smb://10.0.0.1/MYSHARE/folder/file1.avi"
- "nfs://host[:/export-path]:/path"
- "host" can be IP-address or DNS-name of NFS server.
- "export-path" is optional; when omitted, the player tries to
automatically deduce it from the specified "path" (by
analyzing all NFS-exports of the NFS-server). For better
performance and correct working, it is recommended to always
explicitly specify "export-path".
- Example (w/o explicitly specified "export-path"):
"nfs://10.0.0.1:/MYSHARE/folder/file1.avi"
- Example (with explicitly specified "export-path"):
"nfs://10.0.0.1:/MYSHARE:/folder/file1.avi"
- "network_folder://network-folder-name/path"
- "network-folder-name" is the name of network folder
econfigured in the player.
- Example: "network_folder://MYSHARE/folder/file1.avi"
- So, it is now possible to use "dune_folder.txt" to organize links
(e.g. Media Collection Indexes) pointing not only to any locally
attached storage devices, but also to any network resources
accessible via NFS or SMB.
- Network URLs are supported for all kinds of content: regular media
files (video, audio, photo), DVD-images (VIDEO_TS, ISO), BD-Images
(BDMV, ISO).
- Such network URLs are also supported in playlist files (M3U, PLS).
- The network shares are automounted by the player on-the-fly as
needed; when using "smb://" and "nfs://" URLs, there is no need to
manually configure the corresponding network folders.
- When playing a playlist consisting of items pointing to different
network shares, the player automatically unmounts/mounts network
shares as needed (in particular, it correctly unmounts a SMB share
before accessing another SMB share pointing to the same SMB server,
in order to avoid the limitation that Linux kernel can not work
with multiple SMB shares of the same SMB server simultanesouly).

- Added the following new "dune_folder.txt" parameters:

- "system_files = {pattern1}[,{pattern2}...]".
- Allows to specify which files should be treated as system and
thus hidden (when "Hide system files = Yes" option is enabled in
Setup).
- Each "pattern" can be the exact name of file/folder, or a
pattern including wildcards ("*" means any sequence of
characters, "?" means any single character).

- "media_url_check = (yes|no)" (default is "no").
- Allows to specify whether the player should try to check if the
"media_url" is valid and points to an existing file when
painting the item corresponding to this media folder, and also
determine a suitable icon to show (e.g. video file, audio file);
if the "media_url" is not valid, the item is painted in the
"dimmed" way. Such a check may reduce browsing performance, so
it is now disabled by default, and this new parameter allows to
reenable it.

- Added support for specifying "dune_folder.txt" parameters which affect
not just the current folder, but also subfolders.
- This allows to provide custom look for the entire folder
hieararchies (e.g. all folders on a HDD) just by creating a single
"dune_folder.txt" file in the root of the folder hierarchy.
- Almost any "dune_folder.txt" parameter can now be prefixed in the
following way:
- "direct_children.{parameter} = {value}"
- "level2_children.{parameter} = {value}"
- "all_children.{parameter} = {value}"
- When "{value}" is a relative path to some file, the following
syntax can be used to specify how the relative path should be
resolved:
- "rel_path://{relative-path}": treat path relatively to each
particular subfolder (default).
- "cur_path://{relative-path}": treat path relatively to the
parent folder (i.e. the folder where "dune_folder.txt" file is
located).

- Other improvements and bugfixes:

- Improvement: Windows 7 Recycle Bin folder is considered to be system
file and is hidden by default.

- Minor improvement for the "Hard Disk" icon.

- Improved progress indication when preparing to play and building large
playlists.

- Bugfix: Audio could be absent when playing specific TS files.

- Bugfix: When accessing Dune from a Windows PC via SMB, "dir" command in
Windows shell could work wrongly (filename case sensitivity problem; now
Dune's SMB server treats all filenames w/o case sensitivity).

- Bugfix: Photo viewer could hang up in specific rare cases.

- Bugfix: Optical disc eject was wrongly allowed when running file read
test on a file located on the optical disc.

- Bugfix: JPEG images (assigned via dune_folder.txt) could be displayed
wrongly in the right panel of the file browser (when using "Extended
List" view mode).

- Bugfix: screensaver could become non-functioning after using photo
viewer.

- Added Thai characters into fonts (adds support for Thai language in
filenames and subtitles).

- Added more menu languages: Greek, Danish, Czech. Some other languages
updated/improved.

Erwartet Euch mal nicht zu viel von der neuen Firm...Autoframerate geht bei mir immer noch nicht. BR's werden immer noch schön brav in 1080i übertragen.

So langsam fange ich an, diese Kiste nicht mehr zu mögen...

Also bei mir geht Autoframe sehr gut. Bisher ging nicht DVD aus Ordnerstruktur heraus, da wurde immer die Standarteinstellung unter Video benutzt. Mein Dune ist auf 23,97p eingestellt. Mit dieser Firmware wird bei DVD jetzt brav auch 50p geschaltet. Ob er BR dann automatisch einstellt, ist bei mir durch die generelle 23,97p Einstellung egal, BR wird da immer richtig abgespielt. Ich weis jetzt allerdings nicht, wie es ist, wenn auch zusatzmaterial in 50p oder so vorliegt.

Was ich immernoch sehr schlimm finde, sind die extrem langen Ladezeiten bei jpeg.. Also Bilder schau ich mir nicht gern mit dem Teil an :-(

ist doch ohnehin egal ob sie das Beta oder nicht nennen. Schau dir den WD-Live an, da ist die Software "final" und trotzdem funktioniert lange noch nicht alles wie es soll.

Aber du hast natürlich recht. Es sollte zumindesten eine Final-Firmware geben, wo alles was beworben wird problemlos funktioniert.

Naja, wenn die Programmoberfläche in Englisch ist würde das wohl nicht so tragisch sein.
Allerdings brauche ich ehrlich gesagt keine Moviebeschreibungen in Englisch. Da lasse ich es lieber gut sein und bleibe bei meinem TViXiE ...

Ich habe mal in das Datenblatt vom Sigma 8642 geschaut.
Er unterstützt sogar AVI-Files mit dem DV-Codec. (Digital8- oder DV-Videokameras)

D.h. eigendlich müsste der HDi Dune Prime 3.0 auch die AVI-Files von meinen Urlaubsvideos abspielen können, die ich mit NERO erstellt habe.

Leider klappt das nicht!

Weiss jemand ob es bald ein Firmware-Update gibt,
dass dieses Problem löst ?

steht irgendwo, dass der Dune diesen Codec beherrscht, ich denke nicht, also kannst du HDI hier wohl keinen Vorwurf machen. Nur weil der Chip das unterstützt, heisst das noch gar nichts. Wenn es doch irgendwann implementiert wird, schön.

Für mich ist das ein klarer Mangel !

Schließlich bezahle ich für den HDi-Player (inkl. Sigma 8642) den vollen Preis und nicht die Hälfte.
Mal schauen, ob die Konkurrenz es nicht besser macht.

Ich frage mich, warum keiner der Hersteller von Mediaplayer diesen DV-Codec unterstützen möchte?
Es gibt Millionen von Hobbyfilmern, die auf einer Digial8- oder DV-Videokamera ihre Filme aufgenommen haben.
Und wer hat schon Lust seine ganzen Videos in ein anderes Format neu zu encodieren.

mit meiner Aussage wollte ich nur sagen, dass du nichts reklamieren kannst, was nicht versprochen wurde. Wenn ein Hersteller durch Firmwareupdates die Funktionalität eines Gerätes erweitert, ist das schön für uns, aber kein Muss.
Und sorry, wenn du ein Gerät kaufst und dich vorher nicht informierst, ob es das kann, was du willst, bist du auch selber schuld.
Wie leicht oder schwer es ist, alle Möglichkeiten, die der Chip bietet auch mittels Firmware zu implementieren, mag ich nicht zu beurteilen.

wenn Du danach gehts, darfst Du nahezu kein Gerät kaufen, egal ob BD-Player, Fernseher, Beamer und und...!

Denn in fast allen Geräten steckt eine Hardware die meist erheblich mehr leisten könnte, aber vom Hersteller nicht genutzt wird!
