Other than perhaps No 2, they all hold true for every other dealer in the country . (In fact there are many brands which do not get wrranty support in a country like Singapore as well)

Again why do we need to justify this ?? Why do we need to give the dealers (who lack some critical basics of dealership) the freedom to think what they are doing is right ? I mean why are we justifying on their behalf man !!!!!!!! You are indirectly giving them a thumbs-up for what they are doing....why is that so ?

BTW I would definitely like to add that the way Pizza Hut operates is one of the role models for many other food chains ? If you dont like a Pizza even after eating half of it they replace it free of cost or dont bill you at all (as per your convinience)...there are many other such gestures thats hard to find in the industry and they maintain these gestures worldwide...please dont compare it to the crappy high-end audio dealer scenario in India.

After a few months of purchasing my Pulz amp, the gain controls started becoming noisy. I informed the dealer - Oranges & Lemons (in Mumbai) and within a week, he arranged for the controls to be cleaned out (This was within the warranty period.) If he got a good margin for the sale, good for him. I wish that other dealers would also do what they were paid for - provide customer service.

I don't know whether I am right on this, but won't buying locally made equipment be a slightly better option as one would have direct access to the manufacturer as well. If my products get spoilt, I can always get them repaired (at a price).

I'm really sorry DD about what happened in your case. From what I have read in these posts, the Jamo guys also replace damaged speaker drivers without too much trouble (correct me if I am wrong here.)

BTW, how is Torvin? I was considering buying a stereo amp from them for a friend. Do they honour their warranties?
