well put - both!!! I guess on that evening I did not 'accomplish' anything with the tweaking - therefore I could not 'enjoy' the music - I guess it was a sudden flash of frustration. But very clearly - the fact that I felt the bass was 'bloomy' (yes bloomy not boomy or bloom - but bloomy) and I was damn sure that female vocals are meant to soothe and not scrape - did spoil my enjoyment of the music. Do I wish for days when a walkman was as good as an opium high? |
