Dude this what I wrote to sachi's post and it was you who came limping in....

To whoever's post you might have replied..it doesnt matter, it means the same (thats what you have said a few posts earlier).

First don't get irrelevant stuff here and second in a public forum there is no ownership of threads and you being early here doesn't make your suggestions right..

First IMO it was relevant...
Second, no question of right or wrong...we were having a discussion (debate, if you like it), you jumped in and the discussion continued as usual...what troubles you ?.

Carry on and I'm out for now and you can continue with your self contradictory statements.

, trying to escape

What do you mean by proving again ?? and how did you conclude???

Just like you concluded this:

Dude you seem to be trying to get out of your normal self.. be yourself to be right,

As the thread goes HOT so does SUB_BOSS, chill friend, lets meet today...

trying to escape

ME...... Never, but don't get unnecessary crap here..wanna discuss stick to topic.

Just like you concluded this:

I can give instances when you got hyper and wrote without reading all posts and me being away as I'm troubled by too many posts is a foolish statement of yours as you have seen me dragging people into many posts and brashing them against wall.. you can't conclude against me coz I concluded something against you...you want to get something get it genuine and not like a cry baby as you have done above....

Cool...
Here we go..

Please let everyone know why it's relevant.. or else refrain from such deviations.

Why should I ?? It pertains to you in particular, so I will send you the relevance thorugh a PM...just wait.

I think it troubled you in first place and itched you somewhere..no wonder you contradicted your own statements to save your as* And me being trouble.. oh I love trouble and just eat oodles for breakfast..

If you want to save your as* then cite examples rather than behaving like a hyper-tensed old man.

ME...... Never, but don't get unnecessary crap here..wanna discuss stick to topic.

WHOA WHOA..one day SUB_BOSS got up in the morning and realized that he has to stick to the topic rather than running around the forum hijacking threads. Cool man, today you have re-discovered yourself. But I didn know that

Even I can give examples where you have replied to the wrong posts and contradicted yourself repeatedly. Later giving wierd explanations....finally trying to run away

If it pertains only to me you PM in the first place and not otherwise when you get mounted..

You seriously have a problem in reading.. read earlier posts and they have been cited then and there. Your example of hyper tensed old man is cheap and displays your shallow thinking before you write, Talking of being a hypertensed personality it must be you as you who seem to be catching up with pseudo agression and getting inspired by actual agressive and valiant peole like me. So it not your cup of tea..So change before it's too late and relax.

If I'm blamed for hijacking threads then everyone is equally guilty.

my 2 paisa comments

From my experience the center channel is the single biggest important component after your AVR and closely followed by the sub..it is going to reproduce 70-80 % of a movie audio ie all voices. so spend most of your budget on that.

If budget is a constraint You can very well do without a surround..and use even one of your old Mini Compo speakers for it.But put up the best damn center channel you can. Matching it to your fron channels is also important as sometimes voices pan in from the fronts to the center hence big differences in tonality can be obvious.

As sachi mentioned, I used a Warfedale WH2 as surrounds..and they are very good for what they do for a center channel I first used a Bose cube (To go with the fronts) then moved to a wharfedale..since it was not good enough moved to a Bose VCS10 which does its job done as well as has a very small footprint. the added feature is that it matches with the fronts as well.

I did have bose cube surrounds but they were too directional hence went for the WH2 which are really diffuse and hence ideal for me.

If you really ask me , a Good two channel stereo setup also does a wonderful job of movie reproduction

The mini comps's speakers would do the job as good as the sonodyne's ...no denying that..i have seen inside a couple of Sonodyne speakers and was appaled to see that it was no better than a mini compo speakers..
no damping material..electrolytic capacitors for crossover and iron core inductors..and that too just thrown in not done on a PCB.

Now, tell me how is this different from any of the sony's and aiwas..
Do u feel it is justified to pay extra money just for the genie's aluminium or whatever brushed finish they have given..The drivers they are using too are Chinese IWAI(got this from a source)..so no better than the Sony and aiwas..why pay extra then?

Sachi, just for information:
The Sonus 2605 speakers weigh 20kg. If not equipped with damping material and big magnets, then what accounts for that weight? They definitely are good speakers. Some of Sonodyne's lesser models - like the 1605 - have compromises. But the 2605 sounds pleasing.

I have done an A/B comparison between the speakers of a one-year old Rs 20,000 Sony mini-compo and my Pulz bookshelves (only changed the speakers). The Pulz bookshelves simply trashed the Sony plywood boxes. The sound was clean and neutral without any harshness. It is real luck if one can find decent minicompo speakers.

Sunilyo,
You can use the minicompo stuff for some time. But then please upgrade to something a lot better. Bookshelves and flrs rule for music. For movies, maybe quality isn't that critical.

Yes that is the only issue for me at present. I dont know if anyone else apart from me has the sonus setup. If anybody has then please let me know of what they have chosen for their center.

or If anybody has listened to them with a different center setup. otherwise i will have to stick with Sonus center only.

well I have..and honestly it is not as bad as it sounds.

just do an A/B of the sonus bookshelf with any other bookshelf (no need to do it only with the center channnel..if you can A/B the centere channel nothing like it ! ) and try to see if there is a difference in
Clarity
tonality
background
coherence

if the sonus sounds good then that will do for you..if not, it is better to have aclearer center thana tonally accurate one !!
