Just received my copy of the New Look AV Max (Jan 2008).

Have I recveived my copy late or is the magazine late on the stands ?

Anyways, its a Whole New Look.

It even has reprints of Hi Fi Choice reviews. I think that is nice.

Overall the mag has taken a QUANTUM Leap in content and presentation, not to mention the almost double number of pages.

The cover price remains unchanged at Rs 50.

Also saw the pics of the Sound Proof Demo rooms. These were fully closed rooms, so were HOT inside.... as is apparent that each room sports a floor standing fan ..

Overall ... The New look ... VERY Nice.

( IMHO Ofcourse !!! )

A fan inside a sound proof demo room? Haha! That's almost an oxymoron!!

I am told that there are changes in Key Personnel at AV Max....

Seems the old school is back .... ( I did not like their ethics - reviews and recommendations to individual buyers was at a price

)

I read the AV Max review of the B&O Top of the line speaker in the Jan Issue. PATHETIC !

It Read like a field trip that a school kid makes, to the showroom and writes a report.

Dito ( field trip kinda writeup) for another Mega Buck system put together & reviewed in the same issue ( components from different manufactureres.. all top notch )

The reviewers do not seem to know about interconnects, Speaker cables or Power cords...

Stereo sound and HT ... both evaluated in the same breath... 1 sentence each, in 2 consecutive sentences ! LOL

How can even an AWARENESS of Hi Fi be created with such yap.
