NAD v/s Marantz A/V receiver

neat choice...NAD...marantz will also be good but you need to audition the two to see which you prefer better....NAD will drive difficult loads better...marantz will probably be more warmer in its rendition of music. NAD will give you a bit more slam needed for movies and stuff.

If you are going to watch movies in two channel mode only then I suggest you go for a stereo amp and not waste money on a receiver. Dedicated stereo amps will always give better sound for music and two channel movies as well. For movies very warm amps may not the ideal choice.

Depends on what you like and how you will listen to your music and movies.
