Hi everyone,

Another small post!!

Does any one knows website link where i can get the hacking codes from my Onida DVD player. Model number: DFX 5100P.

I have come across a few links where i did find a few hacks but for other brands like Philips, Akai etc.

The hack for the Philips worked as one of my friend owns a DVDp from Philips.

A lot of my favourite titles have a region code other than 5 (which is the region code supported by Onida).

The pirated DVDs are also available in the market which are
a) region free
b) have the same audio & video quality as they are directly copied from the original DVD.

But have not been able to trace a shop where i can buy them in Delhi. any info on this can also solve my problem.

A friend is likely to buy a Philips DVD player in a week.

The model which my friend has is the DVP-642K i dont know if it is still available in the market or has been discontinued. But it is said that the hack can be used on most of the DVDPs offered by philips.

Just spoke to a salesman for a dealer here in Delhi. Dependable guy and he advised me to call up the service centre for onida for the region free thing. He had th ecodes for phillips but it seems that onida has not shared the same with the dealers.

Was just browsing thru the website of Onida.

In there FAQ section they say that their DVD players are region free. But in the manual it says that it can play DVD's having the region code 5 only.

Now this is contradicting. the only solution to this problem is to play a dvd with a different region code.

For onida,try in net, for some JVC codes.May work.my sony dvd remote works with my onida tv when i entered JVC codes.

Hi,

I think my DVDP can play DVD's from all codes. Yesterday i brought a DVD (predator 1) which has the region code 3 to check, and guess what, it played.

So after breaking my head everywhere in order get the hack i found that the DVDp is already hacked (company hacked).
