adjuststing 5.1 surround system with conputer

I use my surrounsystem as my computers sound system, but i can't get it adjusted correctly.

Is there any software which can can adjust 5.1 surround system automatically by computer. I mead software based adjustment there is no need to adjust amplifier.

Hi Hunter,
Let me try to understand your setup. It looks like you have connected the output of your sound card to your receiver/amp and you want to control receiver from PC. Is that right ?

Please give the details of your setup.

My setup is following: sound card -(analog out put)-> amplifier(Harman/kardon AVR 130).

I meaned that i want to adjust the delay between the front and rear speakers and speaker levels etc. by software to get beter surround efect to movies.

You can adjust the delays from your DVD player software like PowerDVD or WinDVD. But I think it will be better to adjust from the receiver since the delay has to adjusted taking into consideration the distance between listener and speakers also.

I looking for software that adjusts automaticaly those setings with measuring microphone.

I have allready tried to adjuste them from amplifier but my rooms acoustic attributes are too hard i mean those edjustmets aren't enough to.

There is a software called ETF5 which does this kind of calibration using the sound card of PC. But I am not sure how accurate it is.
