well using monoblocks for stereo and surrounds will be a very nice option I think...

coz dedicated power supply for each channel and everything is isolated and I think it just sounds amazing. But let me know anybody did this in India?

let me share ur opinins...

cheers,

what would be the cost of each monoblock amplifier which delivers about 200watts into 8 ohms (high current amps)
I think it will cost about 60k each monoblock...

Examples & Names would be appreciated !!!

You are the one that said that for 60/- K one could get 200 Watt Mono Block - High Current - Power Amplifiers @ 8 Ohms. I want to know from you which ones are these ???

Please do shed some light !!

I do not know of any mono block power amplifier @ 200 Watts @ Rs. 60/- K. However, I am keen on getting the information.

Thanks.

Congratulations !!!!

Do you have a web site ?
I would like to go and see the product there.
If you are from Bombay, then maybe I would like to drop by and 'audition' it, if that is OK with you ?

I'm not sure whether Pulz fits in the price range you're talking....but it fits the specs.

But Pulz RS 250 is a Dual Mono Power Amp. It's TWO entirely separate mono amplifiers in one chassis with SEPARATE TOROIDAL transformers for both channels......and its made in INDIA!

Ooops he's very fast and he concludes too!!!( after careful thought)

But let me know anybody did this in India?

No I guess only some space research guys did it in 1960 when Russia was USSR!!!

let me share ur opinins...

Gee you are humble.

Another question ?

I think it will cost about 60k each monoblock...

But he answers his own questions and hey he thinks again( that's self sufficient intelligence )
We have a thinker here...

What does that mean?? Can anyone read this for me?? Are you William Wordsworth.

I know some of em but let me know if any monoblock comes in less than 90k or so...

hey you just thought it costs 60K... but tell me why did you hike it to 90k ?? contradicting thought process..What do you mean by you know some of them.. you mean any particular brands??

HELIA amplifiers well its my brand I am planning for that price..preferably on 80k...

80K?? for a monoblock...Are you planning to earn all your annual profits by selling one monoblock.. . that's too much dude !!please lower your prices for sake of Indian audiophiles..

dude all amps under 60k are same as amps costing under 90k.. right??? So what were you looking for??? Never mind when are you releasing your amps into market???

Hi !

NAD power amp can be used in Bridge mode to work almost like a mono-block. NAD C 272 delivers 150 W per channel minimum continuous power and in brige mode it is 300 W. And it cost only about 40 K.

So Sonic_Master beware of competition from the great Indian "jugaad"

Regards

Sanjay

That's my amp you're talking about! But it's puny.

Here's the real killer amp: http://www.pulzaudio.com/premium_rs600.htm

I would opt for a Pulz RS 600 Mosfet Cinema amp that can deliver 190W/ ch continuous power into an 8 ohm load. No need for monoblocks. High current and brute force. But tell me, who in India has a palace large enough to accommodate such power. You would need a room the size of a multiplex hall and matching speakers to handle the current.

I owned, untill a couple of years ago, the Nova ( Made in Mumbai, India ) 200 Watt Power Amp, fed with a Nova Pre Amp.

The Power Amp used MOSFETs, and put out ( Yup, I measured ) 200 Watts into 8 ohms and 400 Watts into 4 Ohms. It did this at all freqs WAY beyond 20 KHz..... I tested flat 50 Watt output at almost 200 KHz. It probably would have even delivered 200 Watts at 200 KHz, but I did not dare to try !

I sold it after years of use to Behram, who had put it for sale ( Pre + Power pair ) for Rs 20 K or so. ( On this forum).

I suspect its still available.

If someone Really wants a Sumo amp on the cheap... I cant think of a better buy....
