The Maratnz PM7200 has a special offer going on from Sharada Motors...
MRP 40k..Offer price 34K.
How does this model Marantz-PM7200 compare with other's(regardless of the price) like NAD320,Puccini AAA,especially in it's Class A mode?

I would like to add,for classical/vocal type of listening,no hard metal etc,for matching to more refined speakers,no boomy baas.

Hifi novice my bro did a listening of 7200 and others like Rotel intg with paradigms in US a week back and he came with this :

It's no great shakes but a good one at the price in US $400 - 500. He raelly couldn't make out much diffrence between class A and class AB .MAy be if you like classical you have to try on your own as this guy used some metal numbers what i listen to often.....

.I'm also on search for an amp and trying all means...may be will get one from US..atleast comes cheaper...50%

I heard that for proper Class A effect , you need to turn the amp Off and then toggle it on or off and then switch it back on..

Something to do with the biasing currents on it..

That's right, you need to switch it off, choose Class A and then switch it on again. You cannot change from AB to A on the fly.
