What's with that? Less than $175 for 1 of the Athena AS-F2.2's, which means that the two of them are $350! And Amazon is selling them! The closest I can find in price is Audio Advisor, which sells for $499 plus shipping. What's the deal?

Looks like an excellent deal. The price includes shipping as well

It is possible that the model is being discontinued by the manufacturer or the store. Hence, the lower prices.

Watch out for refurbished ones..there are lots of deals like this to tempt you and later to discover that they were either pre owned, or demo pieces or refurbished ones...I have seen used CD's on Amazon...

Is it possible to get speakers shipped to India also (through Amazon)??

If yes what would be the extra shipping charges around and what about the insurance on the way ??

Abhi,

Shipping quotes would vary from vedor to vendor..may be you'll end paying a cool $400-450 with insurance and add some morsel to feed customs rodents...

To the best of my knowledge, amazon only ships books and CD to india. I have tried to import speakers but the shipping quotes were close to $1000.

And like sub_boss mentions, it you will need to deal with customs. Customs will be on the value of goods + shipping. I am told that you need to have an import license, pay customs and couple of taxes (may be sales tax and octroi). You will need a clearing agent and pay damorages while you wait customs and taxes to clear. I recommend that you keep away from all this trouble.
