It is 75:25 (Stereo:HT) for me but thats not available.....

I believe many on this forum would have liked to have a 75:25 option also !!!

Nice one VIV, yes no tweaks allowed, either ur a dedicated 2ch guy or a HT or alas a 50/50.

So sad for all the pure HT guys.

PS: Anyhow these are my personal opinions and there is nothing wrong in a person liking 100% HT. !!

Prithvi, c'mon, have a heart!!!

This puts me in something of a spot.

Although I would very much like to vote for pure 2 ch stereo, there always remains the possibility of the better half lurking on these pages, in which case I would have a hard time explaining the HT setup expense.

i know what you mean WAF when it comes to our hobbies which are not so expensive compared to their gold, diamonds etc.

Thats why get the best before getting married, everyone is not so lucky with a wife like subboss. Subboss u luck bum.

My wife says if I spend on hi-end then I have to give the equivalent to here in cash/ gold/ diamonds.

Well thats life and we have to live it.

Mine loves crystal.

So, for every hifi toy I buy for myself, I have to get her an expensive piece of crystal.

What luck I also happen to like crystal…

whats much better in this world than have some crystals by your side shining in dim light, chilled beer,cold silent night and great hifi with your fav music and for time being it's stuff your as* for u r neighbours.......chuffing great fun...yeah..

For me it is pure two channel stereo.
Both have its own uses but I hardly watch even a single movie in a week but I listen to music at least a couple of hours a day.
Btw: I have discovered that a good two channel setup is much better than a mediocre multi channel one even for movies.

Second that Square, two channel still gives me the kick out of music and movies alike. some thing very natural in the way steero attcks against the cheesy sound of an HT(entry level of course, i have never demoed the higher end ones.)

Enjoyment wise, i would vote 50/50. i am a compete movie buff and watch a lot of TV series.(fovorite is Seinfeld).
But, nothing gives me a high like music. When Neil Diamond(my favourtie artist) starts to sing i become the 'solitary man' looking for the 'girl who'll be a woman soon'

well its 50-50 for me... I have a pretty open mind towards HT.. :p I mean, hearing a helicopter fly over you from behind in Blachawk Down or feel the all enveloping submarine engine in U571 cant be beaten easily. Stereo attempts to capture the "realness" of a stage whereas HT can give more unreal "kicks", but music can still be enjoyed with or without a "stage" - I dont necessarily have to let my brain associate the music with a real "stage" to feel the pleasantness.

hey prithvi, should have had an option called 10% HT and 90% Stereo...But have to go by 2Ch here
