Friends, Can anyone please explain me what exactly is WOW & FLUTTER which is mentioned in the specs sheet of all leading Turntable brands?Is it something to do with the rumbling noise or they are completely different. Please enlighten us. |

The turntable is typically prone to pitch related problems, created by imperfect rotation speed and mechanical alignment of the disc. Wow and flutter are directly related to the sound effects they cause. Slow pitch variation, called wow. A lower pitch extends the words, and sounds similar to w-o-w. Fast pitch variation, called flutter, may sound similar to birds fluttering their wings. - Debu |
