Hi

Have anyone got any experience with tweaking Marantz 6000 OSELE CD Player. I have heard about changing the clook with a clock from Audiocom SuperClock 3 . Also they give out seperate powersupplies for the clock priced speratly of course. Then there are tweaks like Black Gate capacitors and Schottky type Power supply diodes etc .

http://www.audiocominternational.com . I am checking out with them on the total price and shipping charges if they ship to India.

Just wanted to know whether any one has done it and whether it's advisable to do these changes

Best regards

from what i have heard,

op-amps, fast recovery diodes, blackgates at PSU provide max benefits

Damping of the transport tray (Underside) with Caulk as well as the casing also reduces Jitter.

Not sure, but apparenlty marantz clocks arre not very easy to replace..hence do check that b4 u order the new one !

Hi ,

Now that there are 2 clocks , one from Trichord and one from Audiocom. How to choose between the 2.

Does anyone have any comparison between these 2 clocks.

Best regards

Hi,

Sorry that I cannot provide any light on your query but I have a question to you Deepug, what gain in quality do you expect by tweaking the clock?

I was using a CD6000Ki, i would rate it as a good player but its limitation was the ADC which was smearing a lot of low level information. The Dual differential HDAM in output stage was good enough or better than most opamps ( provided they stay plugged in properly, the piggy back arrangment do have a tendency to get loose while transporting)

Hi

As far as I know the reason to change the clock is to reduce the jitter produced by the stock clock which is nothing but a simple crystal oscillator. The jitter affects the sound quality directly.

This is what I know. and from whatever information I have changing the clock gives an improvement in the sound quality provided the installation is done properly

Best regards
