For Sale: Sennheiser HD580 with DIY amp and Kimberkable

Hi everybody. I got these senns recently, but due to personal problems, need to sell them.

1> Sennheiser Precision HD580 Headphones.
2> DIY Headphone Amplifier. ( Got it from a friend. Don't know any details)
3> Mini to RCA KimberKable - GQ Mini (1 meter). Heres the link

Everythings in great condition. Breaks my heart to sell it, but I need the dough.

I'll only sell the whole setup, as any individual component won't be of any use to me.

Expected price - 13.5K (slightly negotiable) + shipping.

Hi,

I'm from mumbai. Shipping charges could be around 200-300 for a good courier service (like DTDC), as the amp has some weight.

Howz the amp ?? How will it perform with a MS-1 ?
How much is a HD-580 in India ?? Is there any warranty on the headphone ??

Well, since I've only used the amp and cans with each other,I don't know how they'll work with other components.

The HD580, last time I checked, cost around Rs 14K. The kimberkable I'd got for $75. I believe it still costs the same. Will post the link of the shop if you want.

The amp, a friend got it made for 4K. I can take pics of the interiors if you want.

These are the first (and only) audiophile components I had. Unfortunately, I have to let go.

I was looking for a headphone that I could plug into my current system. Since yours has to be hooked up to the amp, maybe I will give it a skip.

Whats your current system? If you have a good pre-amp, maybe it'll do. I can bring the headphones over to your place, if you want to try them out.

BTW, you can always plug the amp into your cd-player.

Have you tried the Grado line...how are the Senns for Rock/Pop/Hip-hop/Acoustics/Electronica kind of music.
Howz the bass extension ?

As I said, these are my first, (and only) audiophile products. So I wouldn't be able to help you with any comparisions.
I listen to creed, rhcp, and ozzy osbourne, and its great!!! ( Of course, I haven't heard any other cans). The bass seems very tight. ( if thats what its called).

CK,

You can plug in the Senns directly to Any Headphone socket that your system has..... even an Ipod with a mini ep to regular ep adaptor, available for about Rs 15 !

The Headphone amp is an accessory to maximise the sound quality, much like esoteric cables....
