Hi friends,
Since i am planning to upgrade, i am putting my dynas on sale.
I had purchased these speakers for 88k with bill and 5 years warranty from soundsmith mumbai in july 2007,
10/10 condition
expected 65k.

Good timing. I understand ARN Systems is offering pretty good discounts for a few weeks on Usher and other brands.

Would the Usher BE 718 be an 'upgrade' on the Dynaudio 72 ??

The Dynaudio Confidence C1 is a great book shelf if you want to 'move up'

The Usher - I am not so sure........[Sorry all you Usher users] !!

Bhagwan, those were my thoughts too initially.

But I guess bobby will listen before taking the step.

Talking of bookshelves, the manger bookshelf still puts a smile on my face.

agree completely...honestly look at the robertsacoustics Rapide..waay better than the Ushers.

Sam Roberts has one demo pair from RMAF (in white) for sale for just 1650.

Don't think that even accounts for just the parts..

Not sure, i haven't listened to it yet..then what would be in the price tag of around 100k ?

Now this must be a 'serious' speaker.

I have not heard it;
But my 'ref' speaker - currently is having drivers from T & P [Accutone]. Mine are Black Ceramic.
Boy, do I love them !! Superb.
If you can get these speakers - sure they must be great.
Besides the price is really good.

I sure would recommend T & P driver based speakers.....

Try and listen to any speaker you are considering before you part with your hard earned money

Different people – different tastes. Some will love coherency, some like it crisp and clear, some like it warm, some like the BBC midrange musicality, some like it stark neutral………etc..etc……..

You may end up with something you cannot live with

From my experience the tiny dancer 718be is a substantial upgrade over the audience or contour series from dynaudio. The confidence series from dynaudio may be better than the Ushers but they cost a lot of money.

Sir, would love to hear a little more about this comparison.
Which Contours (models) have you compared with Usher, what electronics, what music ? I assume you would have done an A/B.
It would be nice if you could share your opinion about both the speakers during the comparison. Seriously, I was looking for a first hand comparison and comments.

Me and reignofchaos have planned something more adventurous. Of course it is related to the above two speakers. If everything works out well we will post it on the forum. In the mean time we can wait for square_wave to post his detailed review of the two speakers.
