Glass cutting for wiring+A -A |

What do you do when the only way you can get an external wire into the house is via the glass or a hole in the wall? For a rented acco, drilling holes in the external wall is risky  . So the next best thing is to get a hole in the glass. Is there a safe way to make a hole in the glass by yourself or should we rather call in glass cutting experts?

Normally any kind of drilling on the glass is done by the glass cutters/experts, before mounting the glass to a frame. Once fixed, I doubt if they can drill holes without breaking the glass. Check with the cutters, it may seem easy to do it yourself, but its not...unless if you have some prior experience. Better option is to remove the glass, get the holes done and fix it back, if feasible. |

It is that difficult? I've seen so many burglars and robbers cut a nice hole in glass (in movies, of course :P) |

Instead of taking pungas with the glass,it would be better to route the wire under the frame(incase its a steel frame)or drill a hole in the wooden chowkhut if its a wood frame window. Both can be neatly plugged up when you leave the accomodation |
