Here is the long story cut short.

HT site : My front hall 25' x 16'

Usage: 50% music, 30% movies, 20% gaming and tv

Signal Sources : 1. PC Sound card (Audigy 2 ZS -32bit DAC 192khz/96kbps 8 ch with optical, coaxial and analog out)
2. PC Graphic card (Pailt 7600 GT)(DVI D-SUB and regular VGA)

What I want: Audio
1. An entry level AVR (can start off with 5.1 and later upgrade to 7.1)
2. At least a 5.0 setup with floorstanders.
3. If budget allows a decent Sub.

Video
1. A decent 1024x768 DLP projector.
2. If budgent allows a decent screen (8' x 6').

Budget : 120K for everything.

I am located in Pune and here is what a local delear in pune (AV Excellence) is offering me
For AV recievers:1. Yamaha RX - V359 : 15,500 /-
2. Onkyo TX-SR304 : 20,000 /-

For Speakers:Audio:
1. JAMO S406 5.1 package with floorstanders : 33,500 /-
2. Polk Audio Monitor 60 pair : 27,500 /-
3. Polk Audio Monitor 50 pair : 19,500 /-
4. Polk Audio Monitor 30 pair : 9,900 /-
5. Polk Audio PSW 10 Sub : 11,000 /-

Video:
1. BenQ MP 620P DLP XGA (1024 x 768) : 60,000 /-
2. Da-Lite 8' x 6' manual screen : 18,000 /- (plus taxes)

Guys, please help me choose the things.

Hi !

I thought you were being courageous to increase your budget from 50 K to 120 K for HT. But you have added Projector & Screen.

The problem remains the same. In fact worse.

Praful, there is no substitute for your own ears&eyes.
Take along some good original DVDs & CDs & start auditioning.
Jot down all the details of the systems & also your impressions as you go along else it may be difficult to take a considered final call.
Since you would be listening to music 50% of the time, take esp care while selecting the L & R Fronts.
Have a ball!
