Amp/speaker interface

This subject has been debated many times through the years. One conclusion that it does draw which should be emphasized - you have to listen to systems for complete music satisfaction.

Well, the writer agreed that he preferred music through the poorer measured amplifier. Maybe, conventional measurements don't show the whole story. Also, music is a vastly more complex signal that doesn't correlate well to conventional tests. Listening is still the best way to judge a system!

That said, speaker manufacturers are to be blamed for products that offer difficult and varying loads to amplifiers. It is their responsibility to design speakers with a uniform impedance over the frequency range. Also, to improve sensitivity of speaker systems such that power requirements remain reasonable. Then, their systems will work better with a larger range of accompanying components.
