Sonus Faber

Clssical, vocals.. especially does strings and wood winds very well. Drums do not have the impact(Only the Domus and classical series). Definitely not neutral, but then which speaker is ?

Their Homage series is AMAZING and so is the price. the Guarneri is again bass shy but the rest are good.

They are not speakers that Rock ..bit more of soothing agents

They respond Very well to Tubes (Not SETs but more high powered stuff) and all of them have looks (Wood and leather) to get you to Drool

In the second hand Market an Extrema or Electa Amator are amazing bargains..if you find one. A concerto also should be a bargain since they have discontinued their pair.

I did consider the Grand Piano for quite some time but I somehow felt it wasnt Fast and not rhythmic enough altohugh its vocals are too good..

iam looking for a good soothing speaker around 70k...

is there any model in sonus faber under 70k

i mostly listen to smooth jazz, some classical music(but very few) and a little bit commercial songs

Sorry to ask, but which currenty are we talking about ? Where are you living ? I know that prices might variate from country to country.

just noticed your Sig.. that must be an amazing surround system !
Final electrostats can sound very fast and light and having them in a surround mode seems to be a mouthwatering prospect !

Do you use the sub for 2 channel as well ?

I am realy happy with my Final Sound electrostats espcilly with the Meridian system they realy sound great. At least I like the light and direct sound of these speakers

For stereo musik I only use the 2 front speakers supported by the sub. Although the 400i already bring some impressive bass for electrostats.
But I like some dry and haevy bass and that is exactly what the Velodyne offers.

So I am realy happy with my system, but of cause there are also other great stereo and surround systems on the market.

Those electrostas are among the best looking i have come across.I like them better than the Martin Logans..

Would definitely love to own a pair of those beauties somewhere down the line .

Am feeling a bit green right now.

Coming back to the SONUS subject,I dislike them on most occasions,but heard a badly setup Strad homage,with left and right channels exchanged,you know what?It just didn't matter,the damn speaker is so good that the essence of the performance was all there.So damn musical and communicative,the piano was gorgeous.A true reference in musical terms,put the money down now product,
