Are these used as an addition to the Subwoofer to get more tactile feel to the sound ? Physically attached to the floor / chairs to shake the crap out of hapless HT enthusiasts ? I can visualize that wicked smile on some audio dealer’s faces already.

I am sure you can attach these to your chair and sit on it with a headphone for a more ‘TACTILE” effect on your butt. What madness !

Actually this is attached on to the sofa/chair. and it can be quite a nice way to watch action movies.

and the vibration can be controlled hence if you keep it low, it can be made to be quite realistic

I think it does not have very high SPL stuff at low freq. i hav a recording of Paintings at an exhibition played on an Organ..it goes down to 16Hz and even with a regular Speaker you can hear some serious air movement..wonder how the Buttkicker would have that

The vibrations Might actually remind me of some of the roads in bangalore
