It takes all sorts of people, and all types of beliefs, to make up this world.

Just don't shut yourselves off blindly.

As far as audio is concerned, TRUST YOUR OWN EARS!

hey Viren,
i definitely don't shut my eyes and believe anything i read. the thing is that this gives more food for thought and more reason to delve into the subject. that's all. just to give you an example. , i heard Arj's sugden 21a amp at rpithvi's place and there was definitely a difference between my Nad and teh sugden. the sugden was just too good in all areas of sonic reproduction.
Prithvi also had an aragon(8008) or something . when he swithced to this the difference were still there but very few. both are hgih end amps while the aragon is probably more costly and more powerful than the sugden.

like u said. it all comes down what one hears.

Hello Benks,

Yes, there are differences in amps, and speakers, and CD players, and cables, and the only way to discover and judge those differences is to listen to music through them.

As in all products catering to the finer senses, there is a certain amount of "art" involved in designing them. If it was just plain engineering, we would have perfect devices, as Philips once proclaimed "Perfect Sound Forever".

If to your ears, the music system draws you into the music, let's you feel the emotion in the music, then that system is doing something right. If it sounds good, it is good.

Benks,
As Viren put in in clear terms, trust ur own ears and if you get lost in a different world, thn that system what ever it may be hs pulled you closer into feeling the music not only hearing it. Thats the system to go in for.
