Folks,
it's that time of the year again!

Jazz is in the air.

This time the yatra (oops utsav ) will also take place in Bangalore.

Unlike the last couple of years, it's a ticketed event in Mumbai

but one can't complain.The music is always interesting, even if the artists are not exactly famous.
...Oh well there are is Anthony Jackson and Wayne Krantz

bizarre!

We turn up at PDP after spending just an e#@$%g

hour and some in crawling traffic only to discover that the performance was canceled.

Apparently BMC claims that the PDP/Malbar Hill residents association had not given permission for the concert to take place . :cut.

Obviously the right palms must not have been greased adequately! I cannot believe that the organizers would be so stupid!

No clue whether the programme scheduled for tomorrow will take place.

Man I'm so e

Geez....! Wow !

Oh boy! The people must be livid ! That's the last time people are going to pay for their jazz concert !

that is really irresponsible of the organizers..they should have communicated this.

Wow, that is crazy. I just flew in from Bangalore on Friday where I saw large posters advertising it. I didn't bother seeing the date as I thought it was a few more weeks away.

However,

this article claims that "Hectic parleying by the organisers and chaos among the audiences notwithstanding, the two day festival could not take off at Priyadarshini Park and a makeshift gig was held at the mid town Bluefrong [sic] later in the evening."

Very strange.

...well this is not really the organiser's fault.like I said it's about palms not being greased enough!

Yes I will. Though I was there only for three of the five bands. Enjoyable stuff. Though it was a bit noisy and crowded to really get in the mood for some of the softer passages. But swingin' stuff was swingin' indeed!
