DTH

Hi !

I tried exploring Dish TV but the channels are limited. It seems certain service providers have rights to one group of channels while others have rights to different group. You cannot really select your own combination.

After having experiencing the quality of Worldspace I was really tempted to switch from Cable TV to DTH. But looks like we'll have to wait.

Quality is same as DishTV

Hype is more

Channels are less ( No Cartoon Network, Pogo, HBO, & all Zee Channels )

Cost is more

However, its only just begun.... can only get better....( and more expensive )

Yes exactly. You really cannot make a your own selection.

The choice is still in the hands of the provider only thing is that it has better quality (audio/video) over the conventional cable TV. Price according to me is high but will eventually come down as more and more people start subscribing to DTV.

But like Amp_nut said we will have to wait for a while till we get better quality and, prices ?? who knows.

I too am thinking of going in for the DIST TV, never want a TATA product, had enough problems with them, wheather be it a car, phone, cell etc./

To top it DISH TV is more organised as its been there for a long time and they have more features than TATA SKY.

At the price they are giving it, its better to go with them rather than rely on your local cable operator.

I remeber when Rajkumar died, there was a blackout for more than two days, except news channels. No offence to Rajkumar, respect him for what he has done for the kannada industry. THats the time when you wished you had a DISH TV.
