I have 3 year old Dynaquest DQ- 12 Subwoofer (by Palesha Electronics Pune) which had Toroidal transformer for power supply, now its no more as I believe it conked out due to power fluctuations.. ( My sub went dead)

That was my sub story... Now coming back to my question..

Where can I get the replacement transformer ( for 110 W RMS Amp). Please provide me vendor details ( Pref in Mumbai / Navi Mumbai)

I would appreciate for Mod suggestions from Audio Gurus of this forum for this Sub which will be redundant as I am going for new sub.

I may use this sub as additional sub in my 5.1 set up.

You can't just put in any toroidal transformer.
you will need tio know the secondary voltages and the power rating of the transformer.
See if u can find this out from where you bought them.

I am in touch with Mr. Palesha, abt this but I am just checking in this forum if there is possibility of putting hefty transformer to avoid such mishaps in future. And elevate my sub performance in any ways..
Please excuse my lack of electronics background.

I will try my level best to feed you folks with technical specs

well u can put in a bigger transformer but u still need to know the secondary voltage ratings before you can take another step...

Dear Sir
Ask the manufacturer for input while you are at it,as he knows his product better than us.This will ensure correct sloutions for you.

I agree..its not worth fooling around with 230 volts

If u don't know how about these things then better get the manufacturer to do the necessary repairs

well frankly speaking what you need is regulated power supply then ur sub will be extremely stable. Ask Palesha for this. One more thing use a massive transformer with high current rating for high stability and for cool running without burning up of any component. But like I said if you use the above regulated power supply then it will be really rock solid.

best regards,
Sandeep
