hi, i need help in buying a direct drive turntable pref. Technics from Kolkata, India. also, can anybody give me the pros and cons of direct drive versus belt drive turntable. thanx in advance. Rajat |

Rajat, it's been sometime since I left good ol Cal, but you could try Fancy Market. Also try Metro Galli (the Lenin Sarani entrance). There are some guys there who sell second hand turntables (or atleast, there used to be). And while you're at it give Chandni a look, you never know what treasures lie hidden there.
