Hi,

Are there any AM/FM Receivers available which can be connected to the stereo amplifier ?

And what would be the price range ?

Hi,

Consider worldspace satellite radio. They have a receiver in the 3k range. Yearly subscription is 1200 rs. You have in excess of 26 dedicated chanels, ranging from rock,regional indian, classical(Indian and western), jazz, trance, pop, country, news.... Most of the reception is digital quality.

Is there any worldspace receiver,in the audiophile grade,category?
I mean AM/FM/Worldspace all in one,and audiophile.

I don't think there is. Both are different systems. Also one id free to air and the other is a paid service.

Check out the link. You can attach a worldspace recevier to an amp an that would be audio'phile' grade I think.

I can't vouch for 'Audiophile' quality. If you have a good Amp and speakers, you can make out that some of the chanels are not as good as your CD's, although worldspace says the transmisseion is "CD Quality".
But overall, the breadth and quality of the service is incomparable.

Thx for the link.
Without speaker's and AM/FM,this looks like a dedicated audiophile grade worldspace receiver,from BPL.
Let us keep informed,if this sounds any better than earlier receivers from worldspace.
