Hi,
Can anyone adivise me on good tape decks available in the Indian market. I have seen Yamaha, Onkyo, Denon. How do they compare? Any others? Prices?

Some more info - I have a NAD C320bee. Right now I listen to some old tapes by connecting it to a Sony walkman I thought a proper deck maybe a good buy since many of my tapes have no CD equivalents. Also would like to record on tapes using a mike.

i have seen some Teknics stuff which work well and are quite economical

I have posted a topic on Indian online shopping and the url will take you to a site which has a fairly comprehensive listing of products and prices including the venerable Nakamichi tape decks. Really surprised me that they are available!

Vinod,

You should be able to get Onkyo, Yamaha and Denon if you order it at the respective dealers. Prices start at around 10K if I am not mistaken.

Hi,

I own a Yamaha KXW 421 double cassette deck and have used it extensively for playing as well as dubbing, for 3 years.

It has worked very efficiently.The sound is as authentic as the cassette can go and dubbing is fantastic...even at High Speed.

It should be available at around 15-16K at Yamaha dealers.
I had compared it with Denon and Onkyo.Only the Big Daddy :
Nakamichi DR10 could beat it(....Rs.53,000/-!)
