I am considering buying the NAD 315BEE. want to know whether it is better than the C320BEE? I have read some reviews and they all say it is good. Has anyone had the chance of listening to this new amp.

Thanks & Regards

Looks like it is a 40watt amplifier.Never heard one though.
Try and go for the higher models like c350, c352 etc....
You will have more power and more flexibility with speakers. You could check with doc hifi on the forum for his experience with the c352 amp.

If you like the amp...buy it...
I have not seen much of a difference between 320bee and 352...if you are really worried about driving tougher loads none of these will work...you may have to look at a different brand all together....but if you like the Nad sound, you are well off with 315bee as well. The key here is, "Listen before you buy".

Disagree here.
There is difference between the 320bee and C350 and for that matter the C352 also.
I never liked the 320bee much.
The sound is quite same with the 350, 352 and 370 except for the difference in power but the 320bee sounds quite different.

they rolled of the highs a bit more with the BEE to make it compatible with entry-mid level speakers and also made the bass a bit more "FAT" to give the impression of more bass. i think the 350/352 series had tighter bass. dont remember much about the treble though

but the midrange of the 320BEE was i believe much more fluid.

i have no idea bout the new 315/325 BEE series. seems that it is just a lower power rating (hence smaller transformer ? ) version of the same. if that is tyhe case would suggest going for the 325..at least you are a bit more future proof.

I second Arj here on his observations regarding BEE and the 352 series...I own the 325BEE myself and had a friend's 352 at my place for the last few months. I found 352 with tighter bass grip, better resolution and dynamics compared to 325BEE...not much of an improvement in highs though.

I kinda agree with both of you here. The 350,352 and 370 sounds more natural and cleaner with tighter bass and more resolution.
The 320bee sounds a bit artificial to me. But a decent amp for the money.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your valuable opinions. i will listen to the various combination before i make the final decision.

BTW, i am graduating from a lowly Sony deck hence even a 315BEE should sound music to my ears :). More questions are due... after the break

Thanks
