Hi All

Wanted to enquire on the Stabilizer one should use for all the AV components (TV+DVD+AVR+Speakers - 2 Flrs).

Is there a specific model/make one should use for these or will a normal 1 KVA one suffice? Any indicators on the Prices?

A servo stab would be right for you. The rating depends on how many components you connect to it.

Hi Manek

Thanx for the response. The rating mentioned to me was 1 KVA by the Pro FX show room personnel.

Is these anyway different from the normal stabilizers? Normal ones ratings are 0.5KVA.

what you have to buy is a servo stabilizer. There are other buck-boost types which is not good for delicate electronics.

KVA ratings depend on how much power your electronic equipments pull out of the stabilizer. Power ratings of all equipments should be mentioned on their back plate. Add the ratings up ask a stabilizer guy to recommend you a stabilizer.

I am using a vertex servo Stabilizer of 3KVA. Add the max input current and + 10% extra for your required rating. Vertex stabilizers come F filter which will help in reducing the buzz given out by normal stabilizer. Let me know if you are interested and I will look up his phone nos. By the ways these stabilizers are manufatiured in Bangalore.

Hi! Guys,
This is the same VERTEX stabilizer (audiophile version) that all my clients and I personally use. It is made in Chennai. Cheraz has the same one too. You can contact Mr. Ananth at: 98450-90183. He will do the needful, just metion that you were put on by Absolute Phase, otherwise they will only give you an ordinary servo stabilizer.

They make the audiophile version especially for me with what I specifiy.

Hi Prithvi

Spoke to Ananth, who mentioned 1 KVA would be sufficient and the price incl of the Filter & taxes would be approx 5800. Is that a reasonable price ?

Sounds OK. Anyways, look at it this way that your system is much more precious than the 5-6k. Getting him down a further 500 bucks is not going to really make a huge difference but you will get the best service later on. Atleast that`s how I look at it.

Hi! Mukus,
Just forget the Rs 5800/- product and go for the best one at Rs 8812/-. This has a double stage filter & also a spike guard. Has RF/EMI filters, with ultra heavy duty 2.5 sq mm thick cables for the input. All the output connectors are the LISHA best quality ones which you do not have to put a f*****g pencil/pen to put your plug in.

The ones that have this type of plug are horrible and ur system can get shorted, as they are made for european plugs and not for Indian plugs.

Most of all comes with a 2 year warranty and is a proven product. Not a single customer of mine has ever complained. As cheraz mentioned their service is great and so is the delivery.

Dont be penny wise pound foolish. I personally use one for my demo room. Can you imagine I cannot take risks with all the hi-end gear that I have on demo. If you can afford a 2kva then go in for a higher rating.
