Okay guys,

i have finally setup the system in my main audio room.
Sounds much better there than in my room.

I will be moving to Mysore by the 20th of this month.:(
so if anyone wants to come over and listen to them please let me know.

Also, i have not yet fixed the front panel(hopefully this will be done tomorrow).
also the top plate is not fixed..
Nonetheless i can still give those who are willing an audition.
One other thing is i have not adjusted the crossover settings, ie. i can play witht the bass treble and mids however i want to.
This will affect the imaging too so, since thisis not yet done, i don't want anyone complaining about imaging.
But, please give me your inputs so that it will helpl me in finalising my crossover settings.

P.S i only wish i had(opr if someone could bring over) a DVD player with 5.1 analogue out.i could have tried them in HT mode with my diamonds as the surrounds.

My friend has brought the Scan Speak Midranges..But these would go ont he speaker sometime during next week..hopefully .
That should be someting huh?

Right now i feel that my room needs some curtains.
Though i have made provisions for curtains throughout the room, haven't yet worked out the budget for it.

The carpet is another thing that is missing.
Lots and lots of 'room' for improvement(pun very much intended)..

Will try to get the maximum out of the system in teh next 7 days.

hi sachi which scanspeak model did ur friend got and what is the price and where did he get it?

which amp is he using for this driver?

Its not a 10 inch driver whihc gives good power as you say..its a 4.5 inch midrange driver.
The model is 13M/8640.

These will be used in my present speaker and will replace the TC line VIfas that are presently in use.
I think it cost 200$ for the pair.
Ciompare that to my original cost for the drivers and cabinet building..
cost me a shade under 300$ to get the original set of drivers and have the speaker built here, including material costs.

I will be using a paralleled LM4780 to drive them.
Crossover range 350 to 3410 Hz.

But the wait was worthwhile..glad to know that you too share the thoughts of enjoying music more than debating on finer deatils as usually most resort to and miss the actual fun..It's a great setup and learning to many audio nuts that not only brands can sound good...even home cooked recipes can beta em balck n blue...keep it up man..here's one for you and your lovely job..

Really man, it was quality time with quality music.
And buddy, you have really done an excellent job and your passion was visible in the fit and finish of your Setup.

I wish I could take the same route as you but sadly time is a huge crunch and thinking of such a project itself gives me shiver.
