I don't remember exactly, however there is one in Dachauer Str. near main station (if you go from main station outbound on the right hand side). Your friend should be able to find it in the yellow pages for Munich. If you are interested in High-End equipment: most "normal" shops have also offerings in used equipment.

really recommend I can't one: qualification of personnel is generally more or less poor (in the end I purchased some studio equipment last year).

However these are some:

There are several others, however I don't remember all of these, most of them are very specialized, e.g. on analog equipment or German brands. Also in surrounding towns you can find quite some shops.

If you enter Germany, you can purchase magazines like "Audio", "Stereo", "Stereoplay", which contain ads at the end, sorted by city, there you may find more dealers. And your friend may help you reading and understanding the German text. (The magazines themselves haven't got best reputation here, however for information purposes of this kind they are quite o.k.)

Go to the Yellow Pages and serch for Hifi.

I don't know any specific second hand hifi shop in Munich (the second hand shops I've seen mainly sell electronic junk), but most hifi shops offer second hand stuff (usually at rather high prices). The shops listed there focus on high end stuff though.

The biggest second hand hifi market in Germany is on ebay.de
