Hi all, I'm searching a new cable for my b&w, too, I was considering Kimber 8TC but from what I have read it is better to use one higher-quality wire than to bi-wire with a lesser one. Is there a non-bi-wire cable in the same price range or cheaper than Kimber 8TC that has as good or better sound quality? I have read that Van den Hul makes good cables. Are there any particular models of Van den Hul cable that would meet this criteria? Are there other cables from other cable manufacturers that would also meet this criteria? Eric |

Hello again! I've got a Kimber 8PR and it sounds like my older, cheaper cable. So don't spend too much for cables! |

Hey whitese! what do you want to spend? But kimber might be a good idea, they really look good! And I don't think you have to use bi-wiring. One kimber is enough. |

Hi all, I would spend about $200. Frank you say bi-wiring is useless? I thought it would improve the sound quality. But maybe you are right, I should buy a good single-wiring cable. Eric |

Hey eric! Yes, I say bi-wiring is useless. Bi-amping, that's another story. So I'd suggest that you buy a good single-wiring cable. Kimber 8 should be within your limit (depending on how long your cables have to be). |

forgive my "Not-Well English". it's pretty stupid I'd say if you say bi wiring useless.can you tell me what is bi wiring?what is bi amping?....it's same. bi wiring use 2 same wire and 1 amp.bi amping use 2 same wire and 2 same amp. if you feed 2X200 watt amp for small speaker like B&W 602,it will damage your speaker.one 200 watt amp is enough for most floorstanding speaker even for bi wire.and if you say bi wiring not improve your sound, maybe you still got "low Level class" for your ears.because for me,it's make your sound more open, perfect high frequency, excelent controlled bass, and very live. besides, what do you think about the creator of " bi-wiring ready " speakers? if bi-wiring useless, they will not make bi-wiring speakers.and....do you think your ears can defeat their ears? the creator of speaker ( example : Spendor,Harbeth,LS3/5,ect )? i don't think so.use one kimber 4tc is great, but when you use 8tc,it's like use 2X4tc ( it's Awesome ).the problem is..........money.so if you don't have money to buy 2 kimber 4tc,don't say bi wiring is useless.it's not fair, "low class ears" Owner!. |

I think bi-wiring makes a difference. I make tests with my B&W 603 and I heard a notable difference between bi-wiring them or not. I heard the sound more... clear, when bi-wiring them. No comments about bi-amping. |

The Kimber 8 PR/VS/TC cables can be used for single and bi-wiring, so with the same cable you can try both possibilities. A Kimber 4 PR/VS/TC cable would be too thin for bi-wiring, you would need two runs. You should try the 8VS which seems to have better value for the money. I compared the 4VS and 4TC cables and could not hear a difference. Both were a notable improvement over standard 4mm2 cables. |

Hi! You make me totally confused. I always thought bi-wiring would be using two cables instead of one. And bi-amping would be using two amps with two cables per speakers. Am I wrong? Confused David |

Hi daviblub Sorry for confusing you The Kimber 8TC cables are made from 8 seperately isolated wires. So it is possible to use 2x4 of these wires for single wiring or 4x2 wires for biwiring |
