Speaker adv. for denon amp

Hi

Got myself a denon pma1500 amp. Now I am looking for floor standing spks. Am inclined towards tannoy's from a ealier impression I had a few years back when compared to waffadale and onkyo. Not sure what else to look for/whats available now. Looked up the AV max oct. issue - the spks. reviewed did not even include tannoy - are they out of favor or something.

Would be grateful for any advice especially if folks have experience with denon before and whats goes well with it. Would be comfortable to spend around 35-40K

Also if folks could advice on delaers in Delhi for the stuff. The two places I know is Onkyo showroom (B&W i guess is whats is available there) in C.R. park and one place in GK.

Try the B&W 309, Wharfedale Evo floorstanders. Tannoy are good speakers and I beileve the india distributor is in Delhi. Go have a listen. Take your amp with you as well. I like their speakers without their super tweeter add-on. They would definately be a shade better than the onkyo.

I have heard the PMA 1500 with Jamo E855(and others in their range) and Kef Q series. Sounded OK.

Cadence Diva and Quad 21L would be a good listen too. They may be a few thousand above your 40K limit but definately good options.

For 40K you would get very good quality bookshelf speakers like Cadence arita, Dynaudio Audience 42, Quad 12L.
