Hi folks,
One of my friend is looking to buy an active pair of speaker,he is a musician by proffesion so active listening (monitoring) will be of more use.
please suggest some stuff within the range of 100k.

No Deaf is a dyslexic deaf chap. He even confuses left and right channels sometimes.

Dear Bobby,

I heard the ATC SCM 300AT three way active versus the passive PMC BB5i powered by some German mono block power amplifiers a few months ago, the ATC speakers were not as good as the PMC. I must mention I distribute PMC but my opinion is totally unbiased in this case, as I listened extensively to these for knowing the truth for myself.In all fairness the PMC speakers are more expensive than the ATC in most cases, model for model in the bigger sized speakers.

Which particular PMC model would you recommend deaf ?

The TANNOY 'Eggs' I have heard them... Unbeatable at that price point.

The High Power built in (tri ? ) amps make for a VERY Neat setup.

Do consider.

Yes;

This one has 3 amps.

The 'regular' Tannoy dual concentric & a super tweeter - all are amplifier & there is a controller for each....

I like the speaker a lot.

It just needs a xlr input & you are home.

In my books the best option is to have a computer with a sound card feeding this Ellipse 8 direct. It is a 'cheap & practical' solution....
