I'll be there. Maybe, this time, instead of bringing along some CDs, I'll carry a camera!!

When are you going? I'm thinking of saturday.

There is only Assault & Violation of your senses to justify the name.

Would also like info, if avbl, abt a reasonable cost DVD player which reproduces Audio well;could also have divx& sacd capabilities.Have been waiting for Philips DV 5500s but looks like Philips India have no plans of launching it here at present.

Newsflash!!: From what I understand, some dealers ARE going to be given small enclosures to acually 'play' the systems. Unfortunately these aren't proper listening rooms... just tent-like things. Go figure!

There were some "listening rooms" in Delhi show also. These were partitioned with Asbestos panels without any ceiling or doors. And the biggest advantage of this arrangement was that standing in any one "room" you could audition ALL the systems of ALL the vendors at the SAME time. It really help save a lot of our time. We could have saved more time by not going there.

AV Revolution is a 'silent' show.

However, any participant that has taken a private 'hall' can and shall be 'allowed' to play music if they so desire.

That is what I have been told to understand.

I will know for sure on Friday - once I get there.

Yeah bhagwan, what i heard was similar. Only dunno if the "halls" are actually going to be proper halls or just some shamiana-like thingys! From what I understand it's going to take place in the lawns adjoining the hotel!

Wonder if Gamut will sing? Or just pose!

No sir - no lawns will be in use. Just Halls [banquet]

GamuT will not be there at the show.
Hermit Audio [the principal importer of GamuT] has no stock. They are focusing on Car Audio brands - Illusion + Audiobahn + Dub Mag Audio etc. So they will only show those products under the LaKozy 'banner'
No GamuT this time around !!!!

I wonder if GamuT will come to India or Hyatt last year was the last we saw & heard of it ?? !

That's wierd. I could've sworn I read "Gamut" in the list of products that's featured in the ad. But then again, the feature in today's TOI says LaKozy will be displaying Gamut so I'm not so sure if the TOI guyas are doble checking their facts!

Please tell us if there are proper demo rooms. Otherwise it would be a waste of time for me to come all the way from thane.

Yes, I did go to the show, and was reasonably well rewarded for the trip.

Lots of Brands and stuff on silent display.

I LOVE what Bhagwan said about silent shows, and this WAS a silent show.

However, come to think of it, we dont get to drive the cars when we visit a car show ! Guess we are a spoilt lot...

No Gamut... atleast I did not see it.

I was happy to learn that there is a Klipsch dealer in Mumbai.

Also saw the 'tents' where absurdly loud ( and shabby) HT was being demo-ed. That was what every one was pushed into as soon as the registration was completed. After that, I was thankful that the show was silent

Hello Amp Nut - Sorry, we could not meet - I was out to lunch when you had come by. Came in to Dilipbhai's stall - Designer Audio & was informed that you had left. Next time around.

In any case, I did meet Shahrukh + Manek + Krish. Spent a short while with them.

I actually enjoyed the shaw a lot.

No GamuT at the Show - sad.

The Wilson Maxx 2 looked a million bucks - and costs 2.2 million - but was surely a show stopper right at the entry of the big hall.

Klipsch was there from Kolkatta - Japonice. Spoke to their Director - Mr. P. K. Gajra - but he did not mention that he will have an exclusive tie up. Were in the middle of negotiations to have Rishi - Ex Yamaha - Ex Orange & Lemons - Ex Designer Audio etc. etc. [nice fellow - I like him] - represent Paradigm & Klipsch in Bombay. They will be @ Juhu, next to THE SHOP.

As mentioned earlier, went to the show with Manek & Krish. (OK, maybe not "with" so much... I reached about an hour later than promised!)

Anyway, we did SEE some nice equipment. Parasound, NAD Masters Series, Jamo R909, Paradigm, Klipsch... and of course - the centrepiece of the show - The Wilson Maxx!!

Bhagwan 'introduced' us to the Canton Vento series. I even saw those Waterfall speakers (full glass caabinet) on display. Wonder how they sound though!

Met Deaf at the car audio section - he was at his satirical best, as always!

Sadly, there was no tube equipment on display! Not too many cables either. The only TTs I saw were the usual Denon boys and a Pro-ject. The mp3 players and the plasma/LCD guys ruled!

So I guess you did not miss much.

They will be on Active Demo from this week @ Juhu.

AVI has opened [actually not officially opened as yet] a 4K sq. ft. demo - flag ship store in Juhu. 5 demo rooms. All the products that they carry are on 'active demo' in this store.
So just give them a call, take an appointment & drop by. You can listen to all the gear that you may want to.....

Hi guys, I had requested forum members intending to visit the AV fair to look out for a good DVD player with MPEG4 & sacd capability which could play music really well, but there has been no post on that-perhaps in all the excitement my request has been forgotten!
Samsungs' DVD HD950 has been recommended to me as a universal player at a reasonable cost.
Has any one heard this player? If so, what are the comments/recommendations?Plz do let me have your input.
