Hi All, I came across this in one of the periodcals that I read from time-time. I uploaded it onto a particular website since I do not know how to upload a pix onto this forum & I'm *not* creating a public folder! ![]() The URL is below & active for 30days per the hosting website. ![]() read the text at the bottom right of the ad - it's amazing what DSP MIPs can do!! ![]() Also, note the physical shape of the Denon player. Pretty amazing, eh? putting us vinyl junkies out of biz anytime soon?! ![]() |

does this play vinyl ? seems to me this plays only CDs but gives DJs the flexibility to screw around with the sound as they can with LPs ![]() |

This is actually a CDP. Not a TT. The form factor of the spining platter on top allows DJs to get the feel of working on TTs - with regular CDs. These have been out since around 2000. They're very practical for DJs - especially here in India where vinyl is rare. They allow you to scratch, brake, loop a beat, f*** around with the flanger and even play discs in reverse. All this was never possible with earlier DJ CDPs. Pioneer's CDJ series (circa1995) had a huge jog dial to move the track forwards and backwards, but that was it. I believe these new vinyl touch players even play MP3s - making it much easier for DJs these days to access tracks. In my day, we had to beg and plead some dude for contacts in UK, Singapore etc for CDs. ![]() Anyway you should check out the Numark site. I believe these guys have come up with a CD + Vinyl deck. And even an iPod deck - WOW!! [Beitrag von Shahrukh am 03. Mai 2006, 08:54 bearbeitet] |
