Dear friend no forum is interseting without good arguements and points driven hard at others..thats where the fun is..

V12 looks good on paper except what concerns me is the weight of 40lbs for a cabinet as tall as 44-1/2" and 12" in depth..Can you give us n opinion about the sound and any noticable boxiness or any other colorations..can you also let us know more about the Amp and source you're using.Last where did you buy it and $$$??.

Honestly I have not heard (of) them... but if you find them good compared to the usual suspects then you should be happy with your purchase

Since speakers are the most subjective of all components, asking for opinions especially after buying it can be detrimental to ones mental peace .. so focus on the music more and youll be happy !!!!

I agree with your point about the forum, but, for a few months in between there was a little too much fighting and I took a break and only came back this week.
I have a Marantz 5400 with 2 V12's for my streo setup. I have still to buy the rest of the speakers to make up a HT system, but that will have to wait till I make the required furniture changes
Is the weight too less? How much should a speaker of that height weigh?
I am not so sure about the audiophile term of boxiness, but, I can tell you this much. Music like classical, Jazz and Vocals come out beautifully. i regularly hear Miles Davis, Shakti, Frank Sinatra, and a lot of other soft music (like sting and Pink Floyd) and have not felt any shrillness, bass breaking, and muddiness in the music. The high frequencies are really really clear without any hint of being shrill.
I have simple 16 gauge monster cable for speaker wire. The speakers are about 8ft apart, about 1.5" from the back wall and are toed in slightly.
Have you come across these speakers at any store?
I got them for around 50K in hyderabad.

those are the speakers that I am refering to.
The reason why i asked is that I have not heard a single person talking about these speakers and how they compare with other brands. I was able to only compare it to Polk, Jamo, JBL, Mourdant Short, and a couple of others that I forgot and I would like to know how it compares to brands like Wharfdales, Dynaudio and other high ends.
I am pretty happy with what I have right now, but, I will need another pair for my stero room sooner or later so I am just trying to keep informed.
BTW: I would love to purchse Indian brands the next time If i can find something suitable.

Where did you get those speakers in India ? Are there any authorized dealers here who offer proper auditioning and warranty ?

I got them at a small dealer in Hyderabad called USK.
I am not really sure that they are authorised (they say that they are). The dealer worked with me for over a month with various speakers so that I could decide what i liked.
I wrote to the phase tech guy and he sent me a address of a guy in madras i think. it took some time for them to write to me and I had already purchased it by then.

I just asked if there was any boxiness..I mean it's the cabinet resonance added to low freq's if the cabinet is not reinforced and MDF is thin...if you are happy it must be good..

if resonence is all that is meant by boxiness then you are right I do not feel any boxiness
The cabinet is made from fairly thick MDF (12mm or so) and feels solid when i knock on the sides.

12 mm is on thin side but if it sounds rigid then Phase guys must've extensively braced with batons...anyway enjoy music

at first glance they resemble the Xarus series of Wharfedale!!!
