I am looking for a good 5.1 speaker package to go with my Denon 1804. wouldn't mind having towers as the fronts as I want to avoid satellites. I have been looking into indian brands because of their low price and also performance. which will be a good choice for me? I have heard Sanen Acoustics which were quite good - is there any other brand I should be looking into?

there are many brands that are good. i do not know the indian market , but the receiver is good and will proffit from good speakers. avoid speakers that are to cheap , because most of the time you will not be happy long. a real price of speakers is 50 - 75 per cent of the price you paid for the denon (a piece naturally!) also if you paid for example 400 dollar than speaker should cost at least 200 dollar a piece . use good cable as well at least 4 qmm ( Quadrat milimeter thick) listen at a shop for speakers which are the least attractive at first sound, listen more closely because some speakers are too coloured at first it will sound great, but after a long session it can be terrible. don;t always think that more speakers have better sound, better a good 2 way speaker than a poor and cheap 3 way speaker! always try to use your own personal favourite musik, but also listen with claasical music as well. since classical music is more demanding of the system you will hear differences. listen good to small assembles with a singer (male or female) and the place he or she is in the speakers. It should be that te singer is in front off you and the instruments behaind and around him or her every musical music instrument shold always be on the same place, is the piano on the left with 80 percent of the speakers and with 20 percent on the right than avoid (unless the made an error in connecting the spakers to the amplifier) the 20 percent i hope i have given a few good tips always try to take a good friend with you, who knows your taste and why because 4 ears hear more than two ears, take your time ![]() |
