The Art V2 is no doubt a serious machine. Sir for me to offer, I need to know that you are on a look out.
In any case, you are looking at a product better than the Art V2.
Do let me know what it is you have bought, when you can.

It is very very rare that you will find a CD Player that supports a 'digital in'
This may happen, all be it in very rare circumstances.

Any CD Player maker, wants his machine to be used the way he designed it. Besides, with an external transport how will this CD Player control incoming JITTER & sync the word clock ?

He may offer a digital out, but digital ins are very rare.
Specially in a machines of this caliber where not only top line transport mechanisms are developed, a lot of attention is paid to power supply regulation [in this case it is out board - in another chassis]. Most transports you may connect may not have paid such attention to detail.

In any case, there is another 3 box solution for sale too. Transport + Power Supply + DAC. Also from Metronome. However that is Silver colour. We will chat about it. That has all that you need, however, 'budget' may be an issue Sorry.
