CHARA - Subwoofer
Penaudio knows that not every speaker will mate with its environment. Room interaction is a critical and often overlooked aspect of music, whether it is the acoustics of a concert hall, the recording studio or one’s living room. The designers recognized the applications for a stand-alone subwoofer, as well as the potential limitations. Penaudio knows that people want seamless sonic integration of bass modules and monitors with the big-box, sound and look. The passive woofer system Chara is designed to with either Charisma or Rebel2 and establish a seamless and silky smooth speaker system. It is side firing creating the illusion of an architectural pedestal for either monitor. Chara can be matched to either monitor.

This is a great speaker for small places. Bass plays really well without booming or loading.
Woofer / Tweeter X-Over is @ 5500 Hzs [out of the critical vocal area]. Smooth & effortless presentation. Speakers 'disappear' very very easily in any room. Front baffle is very narrow - image is rather focused.

Guys, I have heard these speakers and they are AMAZING for their size...( MUCH smaller than most book shelf speakers )

The Imaging is Superb... yeah, I like my image better defined, and 'Ella Fitzgerald with a 9 feet wide mouth' is not my cuppa.

The bass is tight and just right, quality and quantity, to fill all but the very big rooms.

Anyone looking for 'Serious' speakers in a small room... this is it ...

I sure hope some deserving audiophile buys these lovely speakers. Even the 'wife' will like its 'size' & 'fit & finish'.
