David Duchovny has come onboard indie submarine thriller "Phantom" alongside Ed Harris, William Fichtner and Natascha McElhone.
The film, set on a Soviet sub during the Cold War, will be shot in Long Beach, Calif., in October. Todd Robinson ("Lonely Hearts") will direct from his own script.

Producers are John Watson, Pen Densham and Julian Adams. RCR Media Group principals Rui Costa Reis and Eliad Josephson are exec producing.

Duchovny will portray the leader of the Soviet special forces team aboard the submarine, whose mission is cloaked in mystery. The actor is replacing Andy Garcia in the part.

Ein Uboot-Film... das hat`s schon lange nicht mehr gegeben. Und den guten alten Fox Mulder wollte ich auch gerne wieder mal sehen.
