As to which 5.1 there are many guys with more knowledge and exp. in this forum. Ill leave it to them.
From what I know you can look at the Denon , HK, Yamaha, Onkyo models. Should cost you between 19k to 50k depending on your budget.

And you need to think of speakers too. Maybe you have 2 from the exisiting stereo setup which you can use but will need to add surrounds and subwoofer.

If you can travel then I suppose Prithvi in Blore also hear Chennai, Mumbai, Pune have good places.

About dealers in Chennai, in case you're considering a trip.
Audio people on GN Chetty road has a good stock of Definitive Technology. I had a chance to only hear the bookshelves (with side firing woofers) in stereo -but they were very good indeed.
Be warned that DefTech is fairly expensive. Said bookshelves were 45 k!
Since you have Cinebels there, you can audition Yamaha/Jamo HT combination in Hyde itself.
Sound and Vision Hyde should also have Wharfedale -check for availability. Their moviestar packages have good reviews.

Delhi's not abad place to shop either and if you are wiling top say buy second hand stuff say 4-6 months old then i havea couple of good contacts. These guys buy their stuff from diplomats and sell them off...
