Hey guys,
have been listening to my songs on the yamha receiver in 2 ch mode with the sub turned on.
say whatever u want about the quality of sound reproduction of the yamaha but when u throw ina subwoofer in the thick of things something which u thought was never there comes to life .
the whole song takes on a new appearence and u rue why u did not get that full range loudspeaker.
forget about the accuracy and all that.. the enjoyment factor just goes thorugh tthe roof.
wish i had some y splitters so that i could use the sub with my Nad.
nonethele am enjoying wi

sorry chaps the system shut down on me.
i was saying that regardless of the sound discrepancies that can be easily pointed out when comparing the Nad and the yamaha u can have a lot of fun by turning on the sub in the yamaha.
i suggest to those who like hard rock ,trance,hip-hop and metal seriously consider having a sub in the acoustic circuit.
Cheers,
Ben

Hey Ben,

I too feel that the sub-sat system and the floortander system are both mutually exclusive. Rock/elctric jazz/pop etc... sound better on the sub-sat system. Also, the sub sat system allows for a high level of flexibility in placement of the speakers, not to mention the space saving. Ofcourse I do not refer to HT.

I know lot of people subscribe to the view that 2 speaker, systems are the ultimate et al..., but I believe that's true only to a limited genre of music.

I also agree that 2 floor standards provide the best natural reproduction, but....the sub-sat will always have it's place in my room!!

Roshan.

hi Guys
Well i just got an Yamaha AVR and a lithos SUB-SAT.
I thank all for all the guidance!
All I can say is that the Lithos SUB seriously deserves a look at while choosing and SUB- Woofer. The build quality is unbeleiveably excellent!
i think the MX brand makes WYE- Splitters. But I will suggest have a read through RANE notes at rane.com. Regarding use of WYE splitters
THanks again Guys!
