TRIP TO LINN/PROAC & RETHM

Hi! Guys,
I have just come back from Cherthala having met my LINN/PROAC distributor and yes heard the huge PROAC D38s driven by two LINN 2250 pwr amps with a UNIDISK SC which is a pre/universal disc player. Cabling was LINN of course.

The ProAc D38's were a week old and hence were not broken-in. The build quality was something I rarely find these days and in whole a great sounding spk, even though not yet burntin.

Also visited Mr. Jacob George of www.rethem.com the maker/designer of RETHm horn loaded spks, Heard the all his spks and also the VTL TINY 25 tube monoblocks.

His spks are for people who have already passed the rubbish and are near the holy grail. In short they are for people who want detail, resolution and clarity.

Very soon the RETHEM spks will be on demo at Absolute Phase. For them to be perfect they need a dedicated listening room and have to be installed by the dealer properly. Dont even think of passing judgements on "lack of bass" etc as I hear deep bass from a pipe organ and could hear vocals just float in mid-air totally focused and the imaging was dead-on.

If these spks are not set-up then just forget it.Period.
