Friends,
I am in a dilemma in choosing between Dali Concept 6, Polk RTi8 and Monitor Audio B4 with NAD C320BEE. Please help me in choosing one from these and give your experiences on these.
Thanks

I would go for MA. Polk LSI series standmounts are very good though.

Havent heard Monitor Audio...

If you are mostly into Rock, Pop...go for Polk...they do it really well.

If you are into all kinds of music...including Rock, Pop, Vocals, Classical, Acoustic music, Ghazals then go for Dali.
They are much better all rounders IMO

Ya I have heard the Polk LSI Standmounts...they are good.

Koushik,
How about Kef iQ5 ? Did you try them...IMO they can be the best of the lot for all kinds of music.

I heard Kef iQ9. Somehow, didn't like it after hearing the others. Haven't heard Kef iQ5 though.

I would stay away from the RTi series from polk. The LSi is good provided you like their voicing. Choose between the concept 6 and B4. Both should be decent. Trust your own ears.

Actually I like Dali's clarity and B4's bass depth. Don't know which one will be missed more than the other.

Is there anyway, you can get a home demo of the speakers. If so do it. The room and associated electronics/cables play a big role in what you heard. You may change your opinion once you hear both in your own house or in the same environment with the same electronics

Spot on....
Take a home demo and you will get a very clear picture of which one you want.

Short term;; you miss the bass

Long term you miss the clarity.

Bass can be augmented with a good subwoofer down the line ( a good one to be around 3O K I guess)

Clarity can be improved by upgrading the speakers..budget depends on you..

I know that a sub would solve it. But as I am going for pure stereo, I want my floorstanders to do the job.

Koushik,

I have heard all three.
Out of these 3 i liked Dali the best. Second was MA (though i found MA B2 better than B4).
Arj is right. In the long term we all look for clarity.

Kausik,

Similar to what Abhi said, if you are more into rock go for MA. I have heard the NAD-B4 combination and they really rock hard...B2 has a cleaner sound than B4 even the bass response is pretty good, you'll need rock solid stands to get the best out of them...

If you are into a variety of stuff try Dali Ikon or Concept...I feel they are more suited for Classical, Vocals kind of music...

If you are into Jazz, try the IQ5...

Kousik,

I second Soulforged.
I too found B2 cleaner sounding than B4 and Dalis were more suited with variety of music especially with classical, jazz and vocals.
