Amplifiers

I recently bought an NAD S-300.
It's (new) about £ 1900, but maybe you get it cheaper.

Another good joice would be NAD S-100 preamp with s-200 poweramp at about £1600.

These are above your budget but I wanted to mention them .

Normally one says you should spend as much money for the speakers than for the amp (but I didn't, I'd say a good amp is worth to spend more).


Amps in your pricing limit would be:
NAD C160/C270 preamp/poweramp
Arcam A85
Primare A20
Marantz PM7000 or PM8000

To give you more detailed hints: what kind of music do you hear?

I completely suggest nad as they make good amps, way better than some in thier proce range....nad preamp and power amp combo (whichever suits your pocket) will be winner.

their integrated amp 370 also is very good.

To get Nad S-300 or pre + power, it is very expensive for your system.
why don't you try to get amplifier Bose, Yamaha 392 or 596; harman kardon; nad 370.
