I'm writing this in english because my written german is not as good as my written english...

I have just received a Toshiba 37 WL68P from digitalo.de and have discovered that the tv makes a noise (brummen)when the backgroundlight is between 0 and 93...

Do any of you guys out there have any experiences with this? Is this problem on all 37" from Toshiba, or should I change it to a 37 C3030D?

Once again sorry for writing english in a german forum... I do read and speak german ok...

Hi Lykkesholm,

Sorry to hear about your problem. This (so-called) "hum" (Brummen) at a panel brightness below 90 is already known in this forum but should be rather a problem of the previous series such as the WL66 as far as I know.
I possess the same TV as you and mine is absolutely quiet on all brightness levels. "Normally" this hum should decrease below a panel brightness of 30 from what I've read in some posts but you wrote it's still noticeable till 0.

How would you describe the "noise-level". Do you hear this hum only at very low volume of your TV or even at normal? From what distance are you still able to hear it?

Since you've ordered your TV online and you are still within the 2 weeks time-frame to send it back to your seller without any problems, I would make use of it.

Hi Taylor23,

In this case the humming (brummen) is only something you hear at low volume levels, but then it's also noticable.

I sit ca. 3 meters away from the TV.

I'm thinking of buying a 37 C3000P in stead, do you know if it delivers a good picture?
