Suggestions for upgrade ..plz help..

HI everyone,

Just 4 months i had a new system but i feel something 'missing'
I have
1) Rotel Ra-03
2) Quad 12L Speakers
3) Cyrus CD6 CD player.
I listen more to classical music
my favourites(right now):

Holst: The planets
Wagner:The Ring ....
Flute concertos ....(Mozart)
Pianonumbers by chopin,schubert etc etc
etc
Also Jazz :
Miles Davis,
John coltrane

Recently i bought an ipod 30 GB 5G

What i like in my system:
1) Dynamics ,,
2) natural tonality

What i dont like :

1) I observed that the sonic nuances and space and depth were not reproduced . For example
2) But somehow in headphones through an ipod i was able to hear these details:
3) For what i know the cd player is very fast and rythmic ..
4) My room is not so good i found out i had to analyze and position the speakers very carefully
5) I have listened to some very good music systems(hi -end) and i can really feel the musicians there ...atleast i can get some of that excitement at my price level?


Please anyone suggest a good upgrade path for my system .. i am ready to go upto one lakh for the same ........
