Sony Playstation as CD player

I have read it on some of the european forums that Sony PS2 is capable of doing wonders as CD players in Digital domain.

Let the PS2 be used for the purpose it was built - to play games. Why would anyone want to play music through it ?

If you want an 'Audiophile Quality' CD Player [depends on what your benchmark for "audiophile" is ?] go and buy one [do remember to audition it in your system before you do so] !!!!!

Let the PS2 remain as a gaming consul.

you just did ben. in fact u took the trouble of making a quote too! i dont know how other forum members feel but it seems like u seem to lashing out at quite a few guys on the forum without provocation. not like the ben who used to post stuff months back. wonder where that nice guy went to... and if you think i'm taking sides or soemthing here, do check ur earlier posts and u'll find a lengthy post where i gave u suggestions when u were deciding what to do for a project/report or soemthing for ur college. just for the record i dont know bhagwan nor do i know u. just seems to be a tad too much unwarranted anger here

I too do not know any persons on a personal basis on this forum, however, there is no need to be angry at anyone or at anything.

A particular Playstation model is supposed to be a very nice piece of equipment to mod.
not the PS2 ..the old original Playstation.
